ROTJ Luke would definitely benefit from the butterfly hinges, the new 90>bending single jointed elbows and also drop down hips. Those changes would incline me to buy a new version(I got the Walmart ROTJ Luke last year but it still uses the dated body from before).

Yeah I'm not sure, I guess the only thing I would hope for certain is that the hood comes off to put on the standing one.

Wow. Just... I don't know what to think, but I still pre-ordered one of them. Might get a second if it goes on sale, but space is an issue. Am I rewarding Hasbro for being stupid? I don't know, but I do know there are some folks who will ignore this for their fix.

Instead of a bridge to nowhere, consider it a bridge to anywhere. It is an odd piece, but some creative stuff could be done with it. Maybe there’s going to be more sets in the future it can attach to.

Haha, yeah I'm one of the biggest Star Wars fans and collectors around but I keep saying Hasbro is out of their minds with the pricing and offerings they are putting out there. I stated a couple weeks ago that there is no way in fucking hell I will pay $150 for their $30 Slave I and I'm an even bigger Boba Fett fan than anything else. I don't bash anyone else for buying whatever they want with their money but as a collector who buys just about anything Star Wars...again, there is no way I would pay MSRP or even half of MSRP for any TVC vehicles and dioramas they have put out recently other than the Sail Barge. Do I want all of them? Yes, but the MSRP is ridiculous and actually insulting to me.

Hasbro's scalping of their 3.75" customers in recent years has gotten sad. I wanted Slave I the first time around. Reviews came in with all the problems and missing parts so I said there is no way I'm paying that price. Then they said a new and improved version is coming. Great. It's $150? Oh well. If if cleared out for a price I'm happy with I will get it, otherwise I'm fine without it.

This Bespin platform looks good. Having two of them to put some figures on would be nice. At $100? Nope. I might get one if the prices never go down but like pretty much everything to do with TVC in vehicle or playset form you will be able to easily get it for less than retail. I have a pile of $13 Jabba Palaces in garage that prove that. The only recent one I haven't seen somewhere at a fair discount was the Red 5 X-Wing. I can live without that one if it's never cheaper than $100 as I have several X-Wing's.

If I was someone that had to buy one of everything I would be really pissed by all this. Personally I'm happy to skip the overpriced stuff that isn't and all-time favorite. Either I get my price or I pass.

Lol...yeah. I just watched that video...didn’t realize it would be $100 for the 2 sets needed for the full experience. On the bright side, these will probably be $20 each at Walmart in 6 months!

The problem is I probably won't be going to Walmart for a while and the ones around here suck! I've seen cases and cases of Jabba's Palace for $50. As soon as I hear they are on clearance for $13, there isn't a single one to be found anywhere.

It does look like a shelf space hog. Looks about 12" wide at the freezing chamber and around 20" to the end of the upper platform. So enjoy dedicating over 3 feet x 1 foot if you buy two of them.

A fun thing with the old set was the ability to carbon freeze any figure you wanted to. Sure it wasn't form fitting like Han in carbonite but if the figure fit in the block, you could 'freeze' it.

If the freezing chamber drops in price, I may buy one. Maybe. The set is so bare bones the best use, for one side, would be to just have Vader and Luke battling it out on the upper part w/ the stairs (maybe not even connect bottom to save space). But I don't own an ESB Vader and Bespin Luke to do it, lol. You

Thank you for reminding me that I still have this. Now I don’t need to invest in this new version.

Does anyone know if there has ever been a decent sized model of the Ghost released? I've got the titanium version but am looking for something a little more substantial.

    Thanks

There was one for the Preschool line. A little squished but about a foot long.

did they ever release the phantom shuttle for that? I remember looking to see that in stores and never did spot one...

Disney had a nice model of the Ghost on display in their Star Wars Launch Bay (not for sale obviously)

but there is a nice scaled ship with Phantom shuttle for the X-Wing miniatures game
