I’ve had these boxed up for about 6 months and finally found time to crack them open tonight. Great looking figures.

    "FUEL-CON... PUUUNCH!"

Could be tempted by greasepit, daft hand and all. He represents the only micromaster base I had as a kid.

Exhaust though, yeah, deffo interested. I passed on wheeljack because I do love my generations version dearly, but this gives me a chance to try the mold. I fancy a ciggie though, strangely...

    Edited: British slang!

Went on a nostalgia trip today and tried to mimic some shots from G1 with my Siege and Earthrise figures, but unfortunately the SD card on my camera got corrupted so I lost all of them. Rats arse of a day.

That’s 6 hours of my life down the drain, then again that’s 6 hours spent actually getting my true pennies worth out of my kickass robot toys. Off to Smyths tomorrow since it’s payday to see what tickles my fancy, Netflix Megatron is on my to get list.

Might be tempted to snag Off-road Bumblebee and then put in the preorder for Blitzwing. Hmm...need that Super Megatron and God Neptune nowwww Galaxy Optimus turned Star Convoy is getting lonely.

It’s especially troubling because Wheeljack was very clearly meant to come with another accessory, as he has a strangely specific indentation on the back of his rocket launcher. Why exactly this phantom gun isn’t included with the premium version of the mold I’m not sure. Of course, this is all speculation, and the extra gun may have been axed early in development, but they kept the peg hole it was meant to go into!

@Gumblor Gimbles Yeah, it very much seems like there was gonna be something to C.O.M.B.A.T. up the arse end of that thing that got lost due to budget.
My main suspect is some additional plastic mass on Sunstreaker as well as all the retooling, although with him being in a later wave and Exhaust coming up short too does make me wonder if it might be something else?

As a United fan I'm possibly committing blasphemy by what I'm about to say but I can't be bothered with all that schoolyard rivalry garbage.

    It was well deserved.

A shame for their fans that it was done under the present circumstances because the moment where they lift the trophy in front of a packed house can't happen for now.

The Ending of Smallville though suggested that the standard story was from that point on he was the world’s regular last minute saviour in that John Williams opening bars kind of Superman 2 /Uncle Vernon the French terrorist kind of way. At no point did I think he was looking like running a farm. Would have liked to seen a suited up Welling in the FOS fiddling with plastic relay batons.

Christ, so today did not start well at all. Was my first day outside the house in 14 weeks, as we needed to take the cats for neutering. Words cannot describe the living hell of having 2 indoor cats perpetually in heat for months on end. We need new carpets.

So I'm 75% panicking about general risks associated with the operation and have a persistent migraine after some cheeky drinking in the sun the day before. The vet starts talking finer details of risks to the cats and being very specific on potential health and organ issues (basically to upsell some extras). I get that sinking feeling in my stomache, I don't cope so well with medical talk.

It's all too much for me and about 5 seconds too late I realise that I'm fighting my mind not to trip out and of course it wins and I've collapsed in mid-conversation with the vet. My wife manages to catch me and hold my head to keep me from getting hurt as conscious thought just imploded - something like the darkness in Neverending story, but without the good parts. FFS, this is what being gorged by a dementor probably feels like.

Eventually I reclaimed my grip on reality and pull my brain back to consciousness. There are a bunch of new people surrounding looking super worried and all I can think is about covid risk and thank fuck the shaking stopped.
I have to sit on the floor sipping water while my wife signs the forms to neuter the cats and I'm there like a dizzy child fresh off the rollercoaster. All the staff are being really nice but I'm crazy embarrassed and can't wait to get out. Twisted my foot too on the way down and I'm supposed to be driving with the remnants of this void still bouncing around.

So yeah, first day trying the outside world again and I find a long forgotten phobia for talking about medical issues coming steaming back to life. I can first aid my daughter if she gets hurt all day long but if you tell me about medical complications I'm gone.

After basically laying down for the whole day and copious amounts of water I pick up the cats. The vet informs me that they gave the cats ketamine and sure enough their eyes are super wide and clearly fell in to the k-hole. They look like they've been through 7 gates of hell but I get them home with their cones of shame. They spend the rest of the evening staring at random marks on the floor and give us occasional glares to remind us whose fault it was before almost passing out on top of their food. So kinda back to normal then, but I'm still bothered by how easily things went from normal to wtf in a mater of seconds.

Apologies for the bloggish post, I hope you all don't mind my sharing.

In other news, Overload is out of quarantine and I love it! Time is limited but I got to spend time with the bot mode during the week. He's thick and chonky and just oozes Decepticon cool. Transformation to alt mode and back is satisfying but given he's pulling duty as big boys hips he's still a tonne of fun and holds some great poses. Hopefully will get around to combining Devvy over the weekend.

    Yes, yes and YES!

So many lost hours playing Roadrash, I was such a little shit with the chain in 2 player /evilgrin

He was still looking after the farm through the later seasons, even when he was working in metropolis. This clark never moved off it through the entire Smallville run, unlike most of the others who moved to Metropolis. It seems he went full Superman and was indeed being the saviour, but at the end of the day, when he went home, he went home to Lois and the farm. I forget how much into the future that final scene was (near the end of season 8 on our rewatch) but crisis is nearly ten years later, and we see numerous newspapers about superman over the years, implying he was out there being full on. Smallville doesn't phrase things the best though, when they introduced blue kryptonite in season 7, they talk about the guy had given up his powers to start a family. They were talking like it was perminant, but then the guy tries to take the K off his wrist when Brainiac turns up. Same way they talk on crisis.

Agreed on having been nice to see Welling fully suited though, even if it was just the once. He could have done that just for the fans. Did like how dismissive he was of the alternate lex though.

One of those days dude? Hope tomorrow is better. But come on, day drinking is class when the weather is right. Not that I've done anything resembling day drink in the last 15 months.

That's basically what it's like, but instead of whips, it's electric eels, and he finishes each sentence with *glub glub*.

Love the new profile tag line ;)

This is a guy who knows his fish trivia.

I dunno. He looks a bit... Exhausted!!!

    :tumbleweed:

    I'll get me coat.

Christ biscuits, I'd hope for fisto, but settle for hobo hound quite happily.

That is certainly possible, and quite exciting if true. I get paid tomorrow, so the stars have aligned for a little pre order madness

Alas, like @bcm77 I am also United scum, but I've no hesitation in saying 100% Liverpool deserve the win, it was well earned. It is a shame the fans couldn't be there.

My bro is a Liverpool fan, so it's nice for him. He'll be a pain in the hole for the next 10 years. Which is probably when united will bring any silverware home.

Jaysus dude sounds like a proper ordeal. Glad you or better. Watch out for vengeful cats.

While we are getting pumped for the announcements tomorrow, I humbly submit the following bot as select series repaint fodder for ER Ironhide/Ratchet.
    IMG_20200625_165630.jpg

I'm probably wrong, but anyone suspected we could see a left field autobot target master making an appearance tomorrow?

    So...

    Generation Selects Centurion
    Generation Selects Hubcap
    Generation Selects Exhaust
    Generation Selects Greasepit
    ??? Maverick
    ??? Delorean

Mmm... it could have been worse. Excluding Hubcap, which is a miserable pile of lies.

Rebels is a lot better than I was expecting. In the latter half of season 2 now, and I'm pleasantly surprised. It's not as good as Clone Wars as a whole, in my opinion, but when it's good, it's REALLY good.

Kanan and Hera might be two of my favourite leads in a Star Wars for a while. Ezra, Sabine and Zeb are great too. Chopper's a little shit, though :lol

I like the inclusion of Ahsoka and Rex too, letting us see how these fan-favourite characters have grown in the 15 years since the end of the Clone Wars. It was so nice seeing Rex, Wolffe and Gregor again, I came to love the clones over the course of TCW's seven seasons.

I'm also very happy that they got James Earl Jones and Billy Dee Williams to reprise the roles of Vader and Lando again. They still sound great, despite it being almost 35 years (when the series first aired) since they last appeared as those characters in Return of the Jedi.

On the whole, I'm pleased I decided on a 'full canon' rewatch of Star Wars, since it's given me a chance to discover the gems I had missed up until now.
