Finally was able to track down Iceman in-stock from a reputable seller. Now the wait... hopefully 2 weeks +/-.

These new FT releases are getting near impossible to get w/o pre-ordering (which I hate). Not sure if it is the supply, the demand, or a little of both???

 

Fans Toys is unable or unwilling to meet the demand, take your pick. Whether that's because they're making fewer figures, increased demand because people think they're really that good, increased demand do to FOMO, or increased demand due to a glut of scalpers wanting in on the FT aftermarket, I don't know, but the fact remains that demand is outstripping supply right now and will continue to do so until FT increases their output or people decide they're not worth the hassle and quit buying.

 

FAM good times be right now with 1 new figure each month with plenty of mom and pop shops getting in the biz just stay ahead of the game, no sleeping.

 

When it comes to FT, I ALWAYS preorder. Sometimes ShowZ only requires a $1 minimum deposit for preorders. The remaining balance will be due once your preorder comes into stock. Baba sometimes does this also.

 

Iceman! Really nice. No issues at all.

Unclipped the wings (one was already loose in the box) to reduce and tidy the backpack.

 

So I just went down the line of BBTS, TFSource, TCP, and CP and struck out. Does anybody have Iceman in stock or a PO still available?lol

 

I haven't heard any new reports of Iceman leg issues in quite a while now. It seems that the issue was restricted to some copies of the very first batch that North American retailers got. Same deal with Sheridan.

 

Yeah mine seems fine. My Sheridan is fine too...legs seem solid, move freely as expected with no wobbles or cause for concern, so far at least!

 

It seems that there's a benefit to not being among the first to get a copy these days.

 

Likewise for me. The trick is to never be on the first batch after Chinese New Year.

 

You can pretty much forget about North American retailers at this point. Have you tried looking at legit, popular Chinese sellers?

I do highly recommend, TFSafari.com, i i still see they have a few in stock and they are quick and pack very well. Thats where i got mine.

 

$160.00 at this point seems like a steal imo...

 

Received my copy of iceman but unfortunately it came broken where the left leg attaches to the hip. Didnt even get a chance to remove the figure. The leg was the only part removed to take pictures. Contacted fanstoy and bababobo00712, just waiting for a response. Hopefully I can get a new figure or replacement parts.

Have we determined what's causing this breakage? Is it breaking in transit due to how it's packaged?

 

Dont know if it's the way it is packed at the factory or just bouncing around during shipping. The shipping box and the figure's box were in good shape. Also maybe lower quality plastic in order to make the figure lighter, since it is a combiner.

 

A member in the fans toys Facebook group had to send it back to fanstoys and they fixed it and shipped it back. Fanstoys covered for the shipping or provided a maximum amount for shipping

 

Anyone have tips getting the jet alt mode to clip in nice and tidy?? I’ve transformed him back and forth but there consistently remains a flap near the middle fuselage on my copy that randomly pops up and comes undone, no matter how strenuous I push down all tabs ...it’s driving me nuts, thx
