Both my kids love playing it even though they aren't exactly fans of transformers. I guess that makes it a good game overall. The older one always play the Grimlock levels, the younger one usually picks the Optimus and Bruticus levels.

It was a fun game. I prefer the Devastation game, just because I like the arcade brawler style game. Felt like a Rock 'em Sock'em robots battle & more true to Transformers as a brand. That said, WFC and FOC proved that Transformers could be made into a successful game that didn't feel like a clone or betray the core idea of the brand as a whole, not just as a tie in to one specific continuity.

When WFC came out, there were so many FPS out there it was crazy. Every 5 minutes they were releasing another Call of Duty game. This game & it's sequel avoided that trap by not only having a real story, but also used the altmodes and driving to give the illusion of a more open environment. It didn't feel like a corridor shooter. It felt almost like an adventure. It was like a Transformers version of Contra. It was so much better than the movie tie-in games.

The art style of the game was definitely interesting. I still watch the cutscenes on Youtube that are edited together to make a movie.

20200623_124244.jpg My wife and I not only got 2 copies the day it came out, but we also got to go to Botcon 2010 the same week. While we was there we meet Tieger and he was nice enough to s8gn our copy. As you can see we had many more sign the cover over the last 10 years, missing alot more though like Fred Tatasciore.

10 years? 10 YEARS?! Damn. Look how the time flies. Think about all the changes that there has been since then. Not just in Transformers franchise but in life as well. I mean, where were YOU when the first trailer was released? Or when you played it for the first time?

I still long for the PS2 Armada game to get a remaster or preferably a faithful remake from the ground up like what they’re doing with Destroy All Humans in July.

That game gives these two a serious run for its money in terms of story and gameplay despite its age, the linear open world shoot em up mix up works so well for a Transformers game. War and Fall would have benefitted from larger environments.

Most of them are stuck doing maps for COD games and have been since they gutted the studio.

Do the studios involved still exist?
Apparently you can no longer find these games digitally, licenses were never renewed so unless you got a physical copy they're now just a memory.
I doubt we'll see remasters or sequels now either :-(

How does one petition a Kickstarter campaign?

a lot of people from high moon were laid off after their deadpool game, what remains seems to be used to assist the development of cod

The ones that stayed with HMS continued to work on minor Destiny stuff and COD DLC maps. The ones who left however is a mixed bag. A few of them worked on stuff like God of War PS4, minor indie games, and some random shooters.

Matt Tieger (The director of WFC and FoC) launched a Kickstarter for some dungeon game back in 2013, and his Twitter went dead afterwards though. But surprisingly, this month his Twitter has suddenly been active for the first time since 2014. I wonder if we could ever hear his thoughts on the whole Deadpool and ROTDS fiasco.

Mobile games are cheaper to make and use gambling models to generate more $$$.

I wouldn't mind a simpler, cheaper (production) game on consoles... Cuz mobile games are just infuriating with their pay walls!

Something Indie like; tactical game like Earth Wars. Hopefully, the new game in production does all of that! :)

Ahh this game, I managed to played this two years ago and I remembered how the later Autobot campaign stressed me out especially the Trypticon fight.
The Decepticon campaign on the other hand is the one where I keep replaying from time to time just for the fun banters between them, being chased by Omega was the most exciting part for me.

i understand that they're moving away from aaa games due to profit however i do think their is a profit with remaking some old tf games, remakes have become increasingly popular especially with crash and spyro and tie in game remakes such as spongebob rehydrated has excited many people although since it came out today we can't tell yet if it's popularity will match it's financial success but regardless i definitely think their is a profit incentive for a tf remake although i imagine the armada game would get one before wfc because it would hold more nostalgia value and im pretty sure they hold the rights to it unlike wfc and foc which belong to activision

I'm looking to replay my copy of War for cybertron. Little than I know, I bought Fall of Cybertron twice. I need to fist War before I started Fall. Too bad I missed out on Multiplayer.

Happy birthday to one of my all time favorite games, and favorite part of the franchise! Can't believe it's been TEN years since it's release. Still never get bored of playing the story mode of both WFC and FoC and probably never will. Absolutely love the dialogue and characters in these games, really wish more came from it! I'd totally be DOWN for a tv series written by the High Moon's writer team based off this game, honestly.

Sucks I never got to properly play multiplayer but I'm happy lots of people still talk and remember fondly of it :D  Can't wait to boot it up again on my new rig next week!!
