Roadbuster? He’s a land vehicle, and he’s generally pretty big

    Probably both.

@Pwsyn Nameslap is also used as a term for when a movie or reboot of a property that has been so far removed from the source material that it is unrecognizable.

Glad we don't have anything like that in this franchise...look mommy, I've discovered sarcasm. The lowest form of wit before the Baymovies...

A lot of fans question why G1 Megatron turned into a gun but what if it was a punishment like Empurata?

In IDW, Ratbat being turned into a cassette was against his will so maybe being reduced to a smaller form was a punishment on Cybertron.

What if before the war, Soundwave and Blaster were a form of probation officer holding criminals reduced to cassettes?

Maybe Steeljaw, Rewind and Eject were framed but the aggressive Ramhorn could have been a trouble maker.

Maybe besides being a punishment, they were forced into military service as spies, saboteurs...

    Just a thought...

After the Unicron Trilogy/Gundam Cosmic Era parallel, when it comes to the shows both Transformers and Gundam has quite a number of similarities with their perception among each other's fanbase (This may sounds more of just "stretching and BS on my part)

    • The Transformers (G1)/ Mobile Suit Gundam 0079: They're both the first entry that started it all, forming the foundation for a franchise and inspired characters, settings and plot ideas that later entries of both franchises would references to.
    • Beast Wars / Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: Both being the first sequel continuation of both franchises's first entry, they're both well-liked among most fans and "becomes" the highest standard of quality that some among the fanbases think that would've never be surpassed ever.
    • Beast Machines / Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ: The "odd-ball" 3rd entries of both franchises, having quite a base-breaking reputation among the fanbase; where some thinks that it's a step down from the previous entries, while some are quite fond of them and think that they're perfectly fine standalone shows for what they were.
    • Car Robots / Mobile Fighter G Gundam: Both are the first AU series of their respective franchises, with a more hot-blooded "battle shounen" theme going on and didn't take everything too seriously. Being quite the departure from the original, some do like them for what they are and don't mind the less serious tone (Also, both has a cheesy english dub)
    • Unicron Trilogy / Gundam SEED & SEED Destiny: Being another major AU entries of their respective franchises, both starts out rough but improves as both shows goes on, they dare trying out new things that breaks from the mold and In the end, both Armada and Gundam SEED are fondly remembered by a portion of their fanbase and the appreciation grows as time goes on. Both the Unicron Trilogy and Cosmic Era of Gundam also has their sequel shows which starts out perfectly fine with potentially interesting setups and world-building, but both eventually falls victim to behind-the scenes drama, rushed production and unneeded executive meddling and gets even more contrived, the writing gets worse as it goes on and ends generally being worse than their already flawed predecessors.
    • TF: Prime / Gundam 00: Both are well-liked AU entries among their respective franchises, and are well-liked for taking a more mature tone and solid production; The well-loved reception isn't fully universal however, as they are some fans who think that they're flawed in a way that most fans just seems to ignore.
    • RID2015 / Gundam AGE: Targeted towards a younger target audiences than their predecessors, they're both not well-liked by the older fans and treated as a disgrace for their brand among the majority of the fanbase. They're still a few fans who like them for what they're trying to do, and some of the toys in their toyline are quite well-received.

Oh wow, I really like the concept of the cassettebots as convicts and Soundwave is their probation officer. I can totally see Rumble and Frenzy as young punks who receive the punishment of living as tapes.

I see Soundwave acting similar to Sojiro from Persona 5: cold and distant at first but eventually comes to view the convicts he’s watching after as family.

When Prime died in the movie what happened to roller? Was he trapped inside the trailer in the trailer dimension? Did he just no longer exist? Does he have a concept of time in the trailer dimension? Is he going out of his mind there?

I have no idea. I always thought of him as a separate being since Optimus was so worried about him when the mine blew up

When I think of The Grand Architect's/
    Adaptus's
voice, I hear Harlan Ellison as AM from the game version of "I Have No Mouth, And I Must Scream".

Yes, I took this (the trailer dimension and technically no longer existed) was the origin story of "Wandering Roller" from the UW Grand Galvatronus set. Very cool ideas.

I want Ectotron, Gigawatt, Maverick and whoever else shows up in the Crossovers line to form an Avengers-Justice League team.

Yes I'm fully aware how dumb and fanservice-y that is, but I think it'd be cool.

Not dumb at all... kind of like Marvel's Exiles. The team picks up members across dimensions... could even be an Infinity Stone thing, the "Gauntlet of Justice":
    Specialist 2 - Soul - Ectotron
    Logistics 3 - Time - Gigawatt
Leader 1 :p  - Reality - Maverick (because he makes his own rules, perfect leader for such a chaotic team)

    Fun figure speculation with this:
Transport 6 - Space - the Enterprise (though I think it might be a little easier to make a bot from Voyager) "Warpspeed"
Infantry 4 - Power - the M577 Marines APC from Aliens, think Beast Machines Strika with a flamethrower mounted on a pincer-arm. "Game Over"
Interrogator 5 - Mind - Johnny 5 from Short Circuit serves as the torso of a combiner a la Chop Shop from R15D, with units 1-4 serving as limbs. "Psyfive"

If Megatron shot himself with the Requiem Stand arrow, will he become Megatron Requiem, get himself a Requiem Stand, or nothing happens at all?
