I'm in the same boat..want to buy it but will probably wait for a reissue hoping they fix the issues and wanting to buy from Amazon JP. I also am waiting to hear what the black convoy will be like and see if they fixed the issues with his release

Thanks! Been leaning towards waiting anyway, and it will be curious to see if the repaints indicate if Takara listened at all, or acknowledged the knees and paint. I'll hold out...been going back in this thread and it's somewhat split...not sure if I want to gamble so much money and pray my copy is decent haha.

From what I read, some members mentions the knee Ratchet will eventually break and you would need to apply the fix for it.

It tends not to be an "eventual" break. The breakage is due to a slight part misalignment/tolerance issue, and will generally rear its head immediately. If you don't encounter the issue in the first place, then I don't think I've heard any reports of it happening over time.

Pretty sure it happened to @HolyCulture after a certain amount of time, is that right HC?

Agreed it's definitely not 'eventual' or 'a given'.

My Prime is still going good. The paint is good with only a random knick in a toe. The wobbly hips are my only complaint and I'm interested to see how the black version is.

Definitely. Mine was solid with perfect knees. It sat on a shelf for a long time, with a few new poses every month or 2. Then the knee simply stopped ratcheting. It seems one half of that exact joint is soft as hell. No clue what’s going on at TT’s factories, but I’d like it if my toys would kindly fuck off and stop breaking after owning them for a while. Technically only prime and hound.... but that’s still becoming hard to stomach

Still haven't gotten any response from my message I sent to the seller yesterday about the shipping delays.
The only thing I can do atm is wait until the item gets dispatched in approx 13 days or I get a reply from him.

Where in the hips is it wobbly? Depending on where the joint is you can tighten it if it's held in by screws or taking apart the leg assembly and use pledge for a much tighter fit

It's too much play between the teeth of the forward/backward hip ratchet. Not much of a fix that can be done.

just dug this guy back out of storage and he's back in my nightstand again. Since working remotely he's been my on again off again companion. It's crazy to think i have only bought one other MP since getting this one and I ended up giving it to my son. Idk this thing just ticks so many boxes. I might be done with MP all together unless we get an MP tiger hawk, and any other repaint. Still on the fences about Nemesis. Will probably get him too though. I'm thinking i might star foraying into the non transforming stuff. Anyone else just have s dense of completion after getting it? It's weird. It's jot like I don't like MP anymore. It's just that I'm contented. I haven't really craved anything new.

definitely have a sense of completion with perfect renditions of the two leaders in MP-36 and MP-44, and my favourite character Bumblebee in MP-45.

I still want Starscream v3 and would like Soundwave v2, after them any other Decepticon would be a bonus.

for Autobots I’d love Jazz and maybe Ironhide v2, and if they make a Sideswipe v2 I’ll get him and repurchase Sunstreaker.

who else do I need? I’m buying Arcee because at this point any new G1 MP will get me excited, with the level of articulation they now have. Would definitely be into a Hound reissue. I’ll probably purchase most new G1 MPs assuming they match the current level (and improve on QC), though S1 cast would excite me the most

if they make an MP Rattrap and if they reissue Dinobot I’ll be very tempted by that pair.

but truly I could be content with just MP-44, MP-45 and MP-36. I’ll never need another Optimus Prime....

    ... until MP-44+ is released!

Not going to lie I'd loose my mind over a toy accurate deco. Especially if they retooled the head and gave us a decked out commander center in the trailer with all the decals and fixings.

I bought the ThreeA bumblebee movie figures, and I love them. I really would easily invest in a similar set of non-transforming G1 figures with this level of detail but G1. I really wanted to get the MAS Prime and Megatron, but they are too big.

Not giving up on MP scale figures just yet. MP44 is fabulous, and is easily a focal point of my collection, but I still look to getting a few more bots before I am finished. I need Windcharger, Perceptor, and a G1 toon Predaking.

I 100% second you with Starscream 3.0, Sam. He's my most wanted official MP at this point. Sideswipe would be my second place, though if i had to get one now, Badcube's i'd probably be fine with. Also since stylistically, MP Sideswipe is not my favorite by any stretch. The Lambo hood looks too wide to me, and that face definitely needs some toon influence, haha. Soundwave, as i've stated earlier about him elsewhere, Fans Toys is now gonna fill that gap and shove my MP-13 off the shelf.

Same with you though, Season 1 would be what i'd be excited by the most, overall.

Besides all that, here's to hoping, while it is far from the first time i've mentioned this, that QC goes back to the way it was prior to Takara dropping the ball on Bee, Soundwave's reissue, and to an even more intense extent, while being the most obvious, Hound.

Just wanted to pop in to add this:

Taking Prime down from his display shelf, and giving him a transformation back and forth yesterday really drove home the love and amazement of these newer MPs. So hard to pose him with Tracks and Sideswipe, and even the van bros without REALLY yearning for newer MPs of them as well.

Yeah, MP-44 is pretty damn awesome.

Totally agree with Sideswipe. Can't say the same with van bros. I love them. They still sit at the top of my list of "Best MPs".
