Well Miller could have been lying on some things. Literally tj Miller threaten everyone in a subway that he had a bomb and movies studios hes worked with recast him like the how to train your dragon movies and then Ryan Reynolds saying that he wont be in deadpool 3.

I feel bad for your friend and anyone who's in Bay's path. I mean, that's utterly ridiculous.

Pretty much. Actors are basically paid to be Sociopaths. Directors have to be much, much worse.

Oh, Cameron's past could fill two or three movies... Something about Hollywood brings out the absolute worst in people. Or I should say it's an outlet for the worst people to showcase their awfulness.

Key word: Competent. I will say, though, considering he went from music videos and commercials to the juggernaut he is now, I will give him credit on his work ethic and making it happen. But that's the limit on my anything positive for him.

Yeah, about that... I just recently found out that Miller is missing a piece of his brain. (I mean that seriously.) He has a condition that's rare, but in a number of people in which the brain ends up with aneurysms and other blood clotting issues and generally a part of the brain that's affected must be excised if it's bad enough. His behavior went downhill after his diagnosis and treatment. That said, he was more or less defending Bay, it was Lee who said Bay assaulted him and it was confirmed. Miller might be a bad guy above and beyond his brain condition, and maybe he's lying about Bay being a decent person offset, I don't know. Just going by the interview and coming away even more disgusted by Bay.

I feel bad for @Sablebot's friend; however, claims of Bay being an asshole seem to be a minority - most people who've worked with Bay have said that he's a very nice man, if a little intense sometimes when directing.

For example, I met Adam Baldwin at a comic convention in my hometown last year (2019), who worked on The Last Ship, in which Bay was the executive producer; I asked him on what Bay was like and he said that Bay was a nice guy, if a little intense at times.

Yeah, his work ethic is admirable - this is a guy who's happiest working and does not really like being idle.

The other reason I like him is he's a dog person. He put a Staffordshire bull terrier in a dog rescue in my hometown (Liverpool) in TLK so she'd get a home; and said that, if nobody came to adopt her by the time shooting had finished, he'd adopt her himself. That, and he also owns English mastiffs (which are big slobbery sweethearts).

Did anybody else say "Oh, yeah, that definitely happened, I was there"? If not, I'd be a bit sceptical of its veracity.

Given TJ Miller assaulted a taxi driver whilst drunk, sexually assaulted someone when he was at university, was a petulant brat on the set of his HBO series and called in a fake bomb threat to get even with a woman who pissed him off on a train, he doesn't seem like a very nice person to me even with his brain condition.

The first part of the first movie, with FBI chick and the soldiers whose names I don't bother to remember, felt like something out of coked-up Clancy. Maybe if there wasn't a need for a "boy and his robot dog" story, it would've been more interesting. Not saying that story type is bad, though.

Which is pretty much what Miller said about him. When he's not behind the camera, he can be a pretty cool guy. He's extremely hard to work with/for. (I still say there's something wrong with that. There's taking your job seriously and then there's taking it Michael Bay seriously.)

And that's great. Perhaps he's better as a human being than we give him credit for, I don't know, I'm just going off of what I've heard/seen in behind the scenes, people retelling their experiences, and outtakes. *shrugs* He's been known to be a relentless and horrible douchebag at various points and I mean, Megan Fox's audition? I don't hate the man, but too many are far too easy on him in some aspects (such as these and the Romeo & Juliet type scenes) and way too hard on him in others. Especially the ones that make no sense. I mean, breaking into his apartment and stealing scripts for Transformers? That's insane, beyond belief.

Apparently, you're under the impression I'm some kind of TJ Miller fan when I'm not. Not even close. I think his personal history is pretty disgusting at times and there's more going on than we're being told. I don't think he's a nice person at all, I'm just saying that losing a chunk of one's brain tends to change them in serious and possibly fundamental ways. That's not excusing him, on the whole, but it is giving him somewhat of an excuse whereas Bay seems to be firing on all eight cylinders and has no excuse to behave the way he does. Just pointing that out does not a fan make me.

And you yourself said "I feel bad for Sablebot's friend" in which he said the same type of experiences with Bay were confirmed. Plus, Miller has never backed down from his story of Bay being awful on set. Bobby Lee has nothing to lose or gain by telling his experience with Bay grabbing him by the head. So, I don't know what you personally want from me, I just reported what I've watched/read and others confirmed it and Fox called him Hitler. You seem to take some of this a tad too personally and I can't get a good read on you in this conversation. In some threads, you're all "yeah, that's awful!" and here you're all "he doesn't seem like a nice person to me" and *shrugs* Okay? I don't disagree, but I also wasn't being his fan or coming to his defense, either. Just pointing out a fact.

F*ck, I hate these movies and the discussions that come with them. There's no gray area, just extremes, on all sides. It's such a pain in the ass, anymore.

Yep. My friend has gripped a ton of feature films, as well as some Bollywood films and being a camera operator on several sporting events. . .I also was told that although Bay is hard to work with, he gets shit done. . .Then again, that still seems diametrically opposed to the quality of his output in a lot of cases. . . .

I wonder if that's his gift... He gets $#1t done on $#1t scripts no one else wants to take. I mean, we've heard that the franchise was shopped around to various studios, all saying no, before Paramount finally said yes. Now, imagine they put money into the whole thing beforehand and realized "oof, this is garbage...gotta get it made... GET MICHAEL!"

I could see that happening, in which case, yeah he is the right man for the job. It would certainly explain the entire situation. =\

    Going to bump this...

Spielberg did not, in fact, request her dismissal.
(You can find that, here: Steven Spielberg: The EW interview)

That leaves Bay behind it. Which brings us to today...
Megan Fox Fans Want Justice After Michael Bay 'Transformers' Stories Resurface

15 years old, dancing under a waterfall? Really? Even the staff had a modicum of sense to tell him "you can't have her at the bar with a drink" (for as much good as that did...) then he followed up with her washing his car and he won't admit where the footage is? Ugh.

Yeah, I think the man's scum. I need a shower in bleach and acid, now.

Money, power, and a career. He's put enough people on the map that they can say "oh, that's just Michael... He's harmless. Hey, have you seen my new movie, yet?! Oscar buzz!" and they become okay with it because it's a mere speed bump in their road to stardom.

I'm more concerned with her parents... Fifteen? Really?! Neither one of 'em said "wait, what? No. Hell no."

It certainly seems like all of this affected her life and now she's another statistic of Hollywood with a failed marriage and kids in a broken home.

Someone should've been there for her, growing up. She was a kid... :(

I'm actually surprised it's taken this long for people to expose Bay (or at least attempt to...I guess time will tell if this goes anywhere). His creepy actions towards women have been public knowledge for a while. In addition to the many disturbing behind-the-scenes stories that have come out, there's plenty of questionable stuff in his movies for the whole world to see. It's weird that someone like James Gunn got fired for making Tweets a decade ago (which he hadn't done since), but Bay has done far worse stuff over the years and somehow flown under the radar until now. He's basically the opposite of "politically correct", so you'd think he'd have been among the first 'cancelled'.

And to be clear, I don't think Bay should be 'cancelled' or barred from making movies. But I do hope enough awareness it raised to prevent him from doing stuff like this in the future, and to discourage other directors from doing this sort of thing. Destroying Bay's livelihood for stuff he did in the past won't fix anything, so the goal should be preventing it from happening again under him or anyone else.

We need to tread carefully with this discussion, it's bordering on political. That said, he has 500 mill in the bank, if he was forced to quit today, he'll be set for the rest of his life and beyond. Just food for thought...

I hope she makes a comeback, was her and Bay working together for TMNT just, not genuine. i can see why, feels like she just wanted to get back into work, after he ruined her career.

I thought she was a solid character. Bay made a mistake not putting her in DoTM though.

Cant tell if you're agreeing or disagreeing on them taking it out of context.

Well she further confirmed it right now she just posted about this drama and literally what people that assuming bay did something was false.

She should have been the main human character. She has a much more interesting backstory than Sam.
