Wow, that in stock notification is delayed by like 3 minutes.

 

I had just refreshed the page and it still showed out of stock. Came here to post in this thread, read that everyone else had a similar experience. Heard my phone ding in my pocket as I read your post. Went back to targets site and hit refresh, still out of stock. So apparently they had one.

 

Unbelievable! They must be trolling us or something.  

Shadow25 got one too so they must've had 2? This is weird!

Got the notification, clicked it, took me to my app page where it was already out of stock.

<10 seconds.

Go fuck yourself, Target.

ugh, this is torture plain and simple

 

You're probably gonna have to keep refreshing the page every couple minutes.

 

For a fleeting moment, it felt like store exclusives were calming down and things were more readily available online as shared exclusives. Well, that moment is passed and as far as toys I want, it seems that hard to get, single store only exclusives that only appear online for a split-second are at an all-time high. It's great that some of you can instantly be there to order something, but when being just 5 minutes late, let alone one or two minutes late, means you miss out.... well, I don't like it. At least when NECA does their SDCC online sales, you know when to be there even if you miss it. But, 10:24 at night? 11:20 in the morning? Unless these things stay in stock for at least a few minutes, I just can't respond to random notifications that fast. And there's too many scalpers/collectors in my area for the stores to actually have enough to put on shelves before people already came in and got the employees to pull them from the back.

Well, Target, Hasbro, I have money to give you if you want it, and I don't want to give twice as much to, uhh, individual entrepreneurs.

 

Give it some time. They should be readily available on their website soon. This same exact thing happened last year with the Rainmakers.

But I agree! It's friggin ridiculous! They should have all their inventory in the warehouse ready to go on a specific release date. Why do they even do it this way? Who thought of this?

 

Damn man, had I known you needed one I'd have grabbed all three they brought out for me from the store last week. Someone had already gotten one for me, but I grabbed two for the collective which have been moved on to R.M. and R.K. (Initials for the locals). I get what you are saying, I tired of the hunt long ago, but at the same time have already tired of trying to remember where the hell I put in all my preorders for these online things. In a civilized and developed society it shouldn't be this difficult to find some of these things, but in a developed society, we probably wouldn't be this into kids toys. If there are any restocks in my area I'll grab you one (if I am out).

 

I have a notepad saved on my desktop & every time I preorder something I update that notepad.

I had to start doing that because I preordered something but couldn't remember where. Then I wanted to cancel it but couldn't find it on BBTS or TFSource so I thought maybe I didn't actually put the order in?  When it was released I got a notification from AmiAmi. lol  So now I keep track of everything.

 

I meant just Transformers exclusives but yeah. Other brands are more hit and miss but I've always had home runs with Transformers.

 

If I see it in stock online, I'm just going to order one and change the shipping address to someone who wants it. But that's a big if.

You aren't wrong there as I have seen every TF exclusive in store (heck, I bought all of the Netflix wave including two extra Scrapfaces in one day). If it follows the trend, that'll be good. Hopefully I'm not just being blindly optimistic, haha!

 

Man, that delay between Target emails indicating it's back in stock and actually going out of stock is gonna be murder.

I know people keep bringing up the rainmakers, but Skywarp and Thundercracker are WAY more important and popular characters, and that's a $60 set vs $80 for the Rainmakers. I think this set will be much harder than get, personally.
