I don't know if there will be upgrade kits for the Seacons. I was a little surprised when I saw this thread the first time, but then again PE made all those HFG kits.
Something very involved probably won't happen but since there will be King Poseidon set someone might do something.

 

I cannot emphasize enough how annoyed I am with the instability of Tentakil as a leg. I would LOVE some options that made him more stable.

And yeah, I hate the tentacles as well. So flat, featureless, and generally "meh".

 

If those guys at Takara had bothered using a good base mold instead of going: "The redeco of this character was a fembot in BWII. Wouldn't it be cool if we used the latest fembot mold as an homage to that?"

 

I think for as much as they cost and the fact that they knew they were going to get a repaint from the start they should/could have made all-new molds instead of reusing the Terrorcons.

 

True. This seems like a line where Takara wants to be cheap on the molds and appear to be putting in a lot of effort in at the same time.

Damn this set looks good! It actually makes poseidon look decent. Shame that I never got a chance to get my hands on one. Just can't justify the price for the set. But I am going to love watching people put this guy in poses

 

It looks pretty good, but it doesn't look like it fixes any of the complaints I have with Tentakil.

 

Those thighs are too thick, really takes away from the proportions (for my tastes atleast).

 

Dreamweave only ever cares about combined mode sadly.
He does look more impressive with this kit, but I don't need it. If I buy this it'll be on discount.

 

What's the QC like o the kits from these guys

 

Really digging the Elbow joint Covers instead of seeing the Bots thighs. Amazing what they can pull off but then again let's see how the QC and Parts staying on will work. I remember some folks were annoyed @ their Abominus upgrade falling off

 

I'm really liking the bulk on this guy. I might actually fold and grab this set so Volcanicus can have a bulky rival.

One thing I'm wondering is judging by the sheer amount of turtler is on the back, could it be possible to put this armor on Hun-grrr at all. They share a mold but I'm not entirely sure if this armor uses some of the added ports to be functional.

 

It’s great and all but the irony of it being cheaper and easier to get than the bots themselves is not lost on me. Siiiiiigh.

 

Those new arm joints. Any idea how they're attached?

 

Pretty much covers all the torso but the result los fantastic.

Would love to get it but the base figures are crazy expensive.

 

I actually prefer it without the kit, something about the TDW up grades never sat right with me.

The elbow upgrades are interesting, wonder if at some point they could be made to permanently attach to some of the combiner wars style figures.
