I can't decide which one I like better. I like the cape and the color scheme looks better on the Ultra Class figure. On the other hand, I like the knight face plate look and blast effect of the deluxe. I guess it will depend which one I can get easier at release.

As crazy as this sounds...you remembered Dragonstorm, Cogman, and I think.....the other Dragon Knight from TLK. How much you wanna bet this gonna be the closest thing to doing a new-Knights of Cybertron just for fun here. Heck the Ultra class could be the center and be be called Alpha Storm or Alpha Pax....just something that at least says "I'm the leader". I'm saying there's potential.

I think I liked the look of the deluxe one better, but will have to see this in hands.

Havent seen the show..But that is one NIIIiice Design..I would really like to see that in a more detailed mold.

"axe attack Optimus"... Is this the 3rd "axe attack" figure in this line? I know my son has one, and there was another I think.. Cmon guys..Lets get original.

Can I get a "CRANE KICK OPTIMUS PRIME" for just once?!?!?

How about a "battle damage" optimus, where you push a button and his torso explodes..then you put it back together and do it again..MAN..I LOVED toys like that..I had an "alien" that exploded with abutton push. I played with that with my joes and transformers...

Honestly..The best damn gimmick Ive seen lately is the spark armor. I LOVED the RID cyberverse spark armor commander figs..still have all them. And these new one that sat on shelves for so long, they all went to clearance so I picked up Optimus. That is seriously one BADDASS toy. The figure is GOOD, and the jet is nice, but the TF gimmick it does is a contender for top 10 best TF gimmicks. Since then I bought them all..Great gimmick toys.

    tangent. Dammit.

Not another axe attack optimus bro..Cmon.

Thunderhowl looking fine, I'm glad it's one of the better examples of a Cyberverse figure but yeah imagine originality with a Studio Series/WFC quality
The deluxe is distinct enough that I will buy both. I have gotten into Cyberverse now, but when that figure was revealed I had not watched the show and still wanted it so it not being accurate wasnt a problem, now that I care enough to get say Grimlock/the entire set for but also regardless of the BaF it can be a different wolf knight.

There was already a Warrior Slipstream, which is the "proper" figure in Cyberverse.

that still absically a proper slipstream, since seekers basically always share the same mold

Can it really be a proper figure if it's lacking knees though?

You're forgetting Ultra Slipstream, which was a brand-new unique mold with its own gimmick and "slimmer" alt mode. It's one of my favorite Ultra-class toys from the line.
