I have to be careful, I can watch potato from afar, but I really want good versions of those movie designs.

Whatever the alt mode is, hopefully it’s better than the box of nothing that the Siege figure transforms into.

It’d actually be cool if he transformed into an armored truck-type vehicle like the Aligned continuity Soundwave.

 

have to say this does look cool, but need to see an alt mode. "can change shape" doesn' tell a lot.

I'd be super OK with that alt mode. And yeah, the siege figure's alt mode is a joke.

 

I just figured the Siege figure's alt more is what it is because not enough kids would have gotten "he turns into a lamp post." (also I kinda like the boxy, functional-over-looks decepticon ships, but I TOTALLY see how people would hate it)

 

My sentiments exactly. Armored truck is ideal, but I'd take some sort of spacecraft or hovertank. If it is a spacecraft, this figure has the added benefit of not having a boxy robot mode, so getting an alt that isn't a flying brick should be possible.

I really like the Bumblebee movie designs. Like, more than any other aesthetic.

Gonna be buying every last one of these Lemon Tree figures.

 

What does he transform into, or intended to transform into in the movie?

 

No one except bee and the seekers transformed on Cybertron, so we pretty much have no idea.

 

Looking at the details now I'm actually surprised that despite being very G1ish the new movie Soundwave does have details on him that make him also distinct in his own right. I dig that. Would be cool if not only does he have a cool alt mode but that they'll have a Soundblaster version of him in the future.

 

Looks great! Doesn\'t really even look like it transforms. It could be nothing but on the sides of his forearms it looks like small window panels of sorts 

 

I reserve judgement until I see whatever the alt mode is.

 

Those are just details accurate to his bot mode in the movie, not vehicle kibble

 

Still willing to bet that since he transforms, they are going to turn those details into windows.

 

Is he called "Blueberry" in honor of Willy Wonka and his chubby appearance in the BB movie?

I also agree that all the cybertron flashback designs (and Optimus as well) looked really rushed in the BB movie. Not to mention poorly lit and rendered, not even as good as a modern video game.

 

I mean Soundwave's design was made with some of Optimus' parts, hence the THreezero soundwave being a retool

it's basically confirmed as a rushed late addition into the movie so for that i think it looks pretty good.
