Wow. Not even an "Are you sure they don't work?" Just plain "Nah, you're wrong. They totally work." How very professional of them.

Take off front bumper sides, remove innermost tabs (one on each side) so you can angle the bumper pieces in robot mode. It doesn't make them loose, so it transformation back to alt mode just fine. It's something they could have easily added but didn't for some reason.

Nail clippers worked just fine. It's soft plastic.

Okay, so I did manage to get the lights working again, but it took having to put the copper tape in-between the batteries too.

The head light is flat out broken into two pieces, so soldering iron it is?

But yeah, not impressed with that response. They're acting like everything is okay when if it was okay they wouldn't have to include copper tape in the first place.

So yeah, apparently too much pride to admit these light assemblies are shit.

I mean I love this Bumblebee and I still love Zeta but I think that's because I couldn't care less about lights in my Transformers. If I can't plug them in somewhere and leave them on in the display case, then they don't do me any good so I ignore them. I couldn't tell you if my Bumblebee's lights work or not. If I cared at all about the lights, I'd probably be pretty upset about them not working and I'd be really annoyed by the "just fill 'em in with copper tape" thing.

TBH, I could care less about the light features, except for the eyes, only because he look dead when they're not on, but if it's an included feature, then at least execute it well, don't half ass it.

This just feels half assed and if it couldn't be done better, they shouldn't have done it at all then.

I still love the figure, and yeah, I'll probably still get a Zeta product down the road, if it's something I like enough, but that response kinda pissed me off and they have to know that aspect of their bee figure is a tad shit..

Great figure all around, no doubt there, but just not a fan of the execution of the lights, and their response to it.

Hey how long did it take for yours to show as shipped? Mine still just says "payment received." I paid for the standard shipping as well.

I think I recall people and videos saying there was no ab crunch. I don't recall if this was ever corrected, but I just saw there is one. Just have to pull up on the torso before it will work.

Nice find! Wish I'd known about this when I was doing those pics with him hunched over with my Charlie figure. It was really difficult to get him posed leaning down to her level and that little bit of ab crunch definitely would've helped.

Pioneer finally showed up after arriving in states on both sides of mine, and he's fantastic. Haven't braved the transformation yet, but even as just a figure I love him. He (and Bee in general with the movie) have a great balance between the bayverse design and a more g1ish look. He just looks so high quality.

Edit: survived the transformation. It was certainly hard and I'm scared of a couple pieces breaking if I'm not careful, but it wasn't nightmarish.
