My guess is mold degradation since I would imagine its a modified version of the Classics mold. But if that is indeed the case I’m weary of the potential QC issues when it comes to the Coneheads
It's just the two Decepticon clones, right? I have the clone 2-pack from Walgreens from a couple years ago (Wingspan and Cloudraker) but I was never able to get Fastclash (I think he was only available as part of that Chaos on Velocitron set)...and I'm not willing to spend $35+ for him on eBay. Hopefully they come out with the Autobot clones in their own 2-pack. Although, that means I'm going to end up with doubles of Wingspan and Cloudraker. Fug...
So far we’ve only seen Pounce and Wingspan. I would be surprised if Hasbro did not rerelease Fastlane and Cloudraker at some point. They’ll probably be another retailer exclusive at $25 but idk which retailer. I ended up purchasing the Takara sets way back when
It steals design cues from the Classics mold, but it's all brand new. Probably just a shoddy mold to begin with. Too much compromise in all directions.
I missed out on any of the Clones during the first round! So getting Pounce and Wingspan will be a nice edition to the Decepticon army. anyone have the DCPI for the Clones exclusive for Target??
Thing is while the mold itself seems to be unchanged, the clones themselves have different paint/deco's compared to the TR releases, and imo, they look better now. Also another note about the Springdale Target: That's also the store that the serial repackager and returner used to hit a TON. I remember seeing SS Ironhide and other stuff in it that was CLEARLY not the right toy and just thrown in the box, but they put it right back on the shelf.
Has anyone seen a Netflix Decepticon Mirage or Scrapface in the Dayton area lately? I pre-ordered them online but I don't think it is going to be fulfilled. I found everything else from reading the boards. Thanks.
Good to know about the new paint. I'm looking forward to seeing them in-person. My office is just a couple minutes down the road from the Springdale Target and...pre-beerbug...I used to go there a few times per week. The toy-swapper seemed to have cooled off some since last year, but, there was a time when you could go in there and see two or three swapped figures on the shelf just about at any given time. I used to turn them in to CS, but, they couldn't have cared less, so I quit doing it.
Wilmington pike Walmarts did have plenty of each a few weeks back (where I got my Dark Mirage). Maybe try Moraine Walmarts? Dayton mall Walmarts only has a few Megatrons, Sideswipe, and Hound in the shelves, unless they have gotten new stock in lately. Also hit up @haven as well. He may have a Dark Mirage to sell you and he is local to the Dayton area if memory serves correctly.
In case anyone is impatient for Sky Lynx cmdstore.com has him in stock. I ordered mine early this morning. Its about $10 over retail but shipping to the region is $15 for standard since its coming from Montreal. I didn’t feel like waiting until October for Amazon and I had extra income this week
Thanks for this. I'm hoping TransFan2's shop gets him in soon. I'm curious what the mark up would be for it tho.
Looks like the Sugarcreek/Feedwire Rd. Target MAY still have one Seeker pack left as of this writing. One thing I learned here is if your store lists the pack in stock, but not on the toy shelves (or stock room), check the Electronics counter or 'collectibles' area, as it can end up there.
Have to say im surprised that neither of the Target exclusive sets (seekers or clones) are street dated. Both have the generic "1/1/1970" SD on popfindr. I'm not complaining of course, since im elated that I have all 3 seekers, but usually Target jumps at the chance to put specific dates on these, especially that Hasbro set "release dates" in those reveal posts for mid to late July. I truly didnt think we'd see the Seekers so soon, I was shocked when I saw them not only release, but get out here so quickly. Hopefully the clones follow suit, and remember, the website will likely have a ton at some point, and stores will get restocked at least once or twice. With it being an endcap space, Target wont want that to sit empty 99% of the time. That looks bad. Just like the rainmakers, we will very likely see these hanging around.
I don't see the Clones moving as fast as the Seeker pack. Thats me. A lot of collectors opted for the Takara set a few years ago or picked up TRU and Walgreens exclusives as well. The Clone pack is a welcome edition, but wish they came with weapons.
Pleasantly surprising but the Sky Lynx I ordered an hour past midnight yesterday has already shipped! Also should be getting Greatshot from BBTS this weekend
