Also if you want to change the ribbed hose to the smooth hose, you might still be able to find FT Quakewave smooth hose kits on Ebay. It's been a couple of years since I checked.

I've bought both and it's a pretty cool upgrade if you like the lighting options.

 

Thanks for that. I was just wondering if it was the Toy colour or the slightly lighter rerelease version. Apparently you can get T versions in rerelease boxes, and the colours all look different under various lights and... Oh, bollocks to it. Doesn't really matter, I'm still pleased by how this guy looks in hand.

As for the hose, I'll give it some time and see if it grows on me. Looks a bit too bulky, but then again, the hose on the original looks too thin. Anyway, good to know there are options still out there.

Same. Hell, i'd get a Quakewave 1.5 if they just fixed the head, which is my only real problem with Quakewave and a small reason why I personally went with MP+ Shockwave. Aside from me originally having the KO (long story) and it breaking on me.

I'd still probably take the MP+ over a hypothetical 1.5, but damn would I want a piece of 3P history, haha.

 

V2 is Quakeblast. Only FansToys didn't make it... apparently Gigapower did. LOL

The original is still a great figure. In fact, it's right on my desk right next to me. I replaced it with Quakeblast AND the official MP... and just couldn't find it in my heart to get rid of it.

 

What is going on with this figure? Is FT-03C Quakewave (clear version) been ”secretly” reissued? I notice this figure at TF Robots web pages. Limited edition 800 pieces.

 

I still just want new legs for v1 Quakewave and it'd be my perfect Shockwave. Gigapower Clownblast and ballerina Laserwave have never been an option for me. To this day Quakewave remains the superior figure.

 

More likely they just have an odd couple still unsold ones in stock. I got a GCreation Prowl a few months at Robot Kingdom months before the reissue was announced.

Right, right. I don't doubt for a second that Quakewave is the superior figure, saying that since I personally haven't gotten my hands onto a Quakewave. I personally went with MP-29+ mainly for the aesthetics, especially cause of the head, as I mentiones before. But i'd certainly jump for a Quakewave 2.0, should FT wanna give Shockwave another go.

 

I doubt we’ll see them touch this character again. They got burnt when EVERYONE cried for a reissue (it was needed at the time), but then Quakeblast and the Offical Mp were announced after production began. And people wonder why they now do smaller runs and few reissues....

I mean, he's a cool idea. Just his alt mode isn't going to be big enough for my taste, but that is just the lot of transport guys like Skyfire, Astrotrain, and Sky Lynx

 

Yea the robot design is really epic, I just miss the gun mode and the hose, still really interesting figure tho

 

Still one of my favorites.

 

Anyone get the clear version? How has it held up over the years? Any issues? I apologize if it's been discussed but I figured asking here would be easier than trying to dig through 520 pages.

 

Mine is still 100% fine but then he's just been stood on display since I got him!
