Hi, I have a question for the forum experts.
I bought Starscream G1 reissue on Amazon and it came with a multi language pack (I live in Italy).
Is it a fake or simply the European version of the box?
(on the back, in addition to the inscriptions on a black background, there is also the CE mark).
Below I am attaching photos taken online (the object that arrived to me is identical)
    Thanks.

It looks legit. The newer boxes are multi-lingual.

I can only vouch for the North American ones that are in French and English, but I would assume the European boxes come in additional languages.

    Thanks for the reply.
In the meantime I tried to write directly to Hasbro (via twitter).
After a few days, they replied today confirming that it is packaged in a multilingual box.
    Problem solved.

Can anyone help identify if this is an authentic rub 1985 G1 Jazz, a reissue or a KO?

So I wanted to ask, I've had this G1 Grimlock for a while and I am not sure if this is a KO or the real thing, Mine doesnt have a Rubsign but it has the Takara branding on it, I was thinking it might not be a KO given how old the thing looks with the rusty screws and loose arm joints, but I'm fairly new to this kind of stuff and wanted to make sure I got the real thing. 20200609_183424.jpg 20200609_183532.jpg

Looks like a nice enough sample. Not 100% indicative, but the lack of rubsign is an alarm as KO's tend not to have them on, they are usually a separate sticker.

Branding is apparent in KO's quite accurately from what I've seen, so also not the best indicator.

Don't have mine to hand, but the KO's have places that use screws where the vintage originals have a pin. If I can find it I'll post a Grimlock comparison I saw a while ago.

Edit: this site has a great comparison, especially the wider jaw and neck range of mobility on the KO. I'm sure I've read a translated version somewhere.

Hi folks, I've checked out a link on here regarding G1 Sunstreaker. I've had a boxed one for a few years and I was always sure it was authentic, colon in the lettering on the front but the age rating is 6 not 5. The toy is still sealed onto the card but the inside of the car looks different from some photos if the original. The back of the box also looks like it hasn't been glued properly. There is writing on the underside but it's so small and the way the angle is in the bubble it's hard to tell. 15924060215927555106875577737224.jpg 15924060503114671388588648178193.jpg 15924060782947195414094331650059.jpg 15924061330904188625195736420248.jpg 15924061905362201370309190548810.jpg 15924063608817920323329048928738.jpg 15924065217055462775207017669290.jpg

The one you have looks like a real one. The telltale marking is the presence of the black stickers to create the detail on the top and on the doors. The KO version has the top and door details painted black.

Do you happen to have any pictures of the bottom of the box? One way to tell if the box is legit is to see if the word "Decoder" (as in Tech Specs Decoder) is one word (Decoder), not two (De Coder).

G1 Sunstreaker has never been officially reissued, so what you have there is the real deal. It's more worth it to get an original G1 version. The KO version has arms that break VERY easily when transformed and can have a lot of paint application errors.

Had a quick look and it is indeed one word, if I do list it I need to be careful it doesn't get lost in the myriad of knock offs.

Several weeks ago my Terrorcons combiner arrived from China and it took nearly two months for it to arrived. I knew it was a KO when I ordered it. I was amazed with the quality of it.

Help please :)  Here is my sixshot that i am not sure if original or not. Reason is that it is from 1986 as says on the stamp, but the patent was filed in 1986 december. So the 1987 toy that i am looking at now has Japan written, but mine misses japan but does have Hasbro. All help is highly appreciated as i am aiming at 1987 Sixshot now that says Japan on it - hope that one is fully legit (were there several productions of these)?

Opposite to this, blitzwing does have Japan in 1984

I'm not expert, but looking at the info at Optimus Prime and KO 擎天柱 - KO资料库 - AC模玩网-中文世界最大的模型玩具网, I'm pretty sure that's a KO:
    1. missing gridlines in the "Transformers from Tractor Trailer to..."
    2. missing silver stripe sticker on cab
    3. the extra grey border

    and so on.

It looks like a KO. Here are my reasons:

    1) The silver stripe is missing from the Optimus cab
    2) For whatever reason, the arm is not fitting snugly into the truck mode
    3) The "UPC Proof of Purchase" words are not done in bold (like the original)
    4) Megatron's foot is cropped more deeply on your box than the original.
    5) The colors are off; the box is tinted more purple than blue

Sorry if you were hoping it was genuine!

Here's pics of the original box:
