Alright...I caved and just bought this big boy on The Chosen Prime. Pricey, but I cannot pass this up haha. I am beyond thrilled to add him to my MP Beast Wars collection.

 

Just received this monstrously gorgeous figure from The Chosen Prime today! Good grief, I am blown away by the quality and look of this guy. Are we sure this didn’t just step out of the Beast Wars?! Because this is a practically perfect representation of TM2 Megatron!

Opening him up and setting him up was easy, and I did a thorough investigation on the paint. Absolutely no flakes or chips on my copy. The paint seems really robust on this guy, and I’m not sure if that’s just the second run (I never had the first run, so I don’t know). Now I haven’t transformed him yet, these are just initial findings. Nothing has fallen off while handling him or moving the limbs and wings around. I’ll post the beast mode/transformation thoughts in a bit. The hinges and joints everywhere are solid, and they hold their positions with no problem. He is massive! The presence is incredible. My initial thoughts of just the robot mode are hugely positive. This is a worthy purchase, and I look forward to dragon mode.

He’s gonna look so good with my MP collection of BW characters! If Takara attempts the Transmetals, I don’t see how it’ll be better than this!

 

I have both versions. Looking at the side hipskirt, this is the second version. He also should have the diamond shaped gold crest painted on his forehead when you raise his red cap. That's the definitive sign of the second run.
Be careful when moving his wings. Always move the third wing together with the others as it is the main one and the tightest. You can position the other wings afterwards from there.

He has all of those things. And I went real slow playing with the wings haha. I’m really amped up to see this Tigerhawk now!

So I finally took this guy out of his box to display him. I had him for 7-8 months but held off until I had enough space to properly display him because I knew he was large. Once I took him out, spread his wings and really posed him....man, I had significantly underestimated his size! He is enormous! I was just floored with not only the impressive, imposing size but he's beautifully painted. THIS is what a masterpiece should be. He looks exactly like the show, his persona and character ooze out of him. His articulation is great, I was worried it would be hindered because of his size but it really isn't. I'm beyond happy with him and he has now become my favorite figure in my collection.

 

I still suggest that you take the newly arrived figure out of the box asap, in case it comes with some missing parts or defects. JX offers some free shipping for those within 2 weeks after arrival.

That PE opop looks so small next to JX tm meg. When am I get the JX black gorilla pop? Can I get it before humans landing mars?

 

I had taken it out to inspect when I first got it, I just didn't fully set him up until now.

 

Just so's you know, he's got a panel piece missing on his lower right leg. It's one of the bits that's known to fall off a lot - chances are it'll be in the box somewhere.

 

Unboxing this figure was an absolute thrill!

 

Needs optional upgrade kit as well.

I like how no one half heartedly displays the wings of this guy. It's always maximum wingspan, eclipse the sun!

 

Nah, I've got mine only slightly splayed out behind him with the largest parts being inwards, so it looks like a cloak.

 

Hopefully they’ll do a Perfect Effect and include a masked face with their Cryotek. Who unlike PE can put his wings around himself sort of like that Beast Machines cloak/muumuu, so it would look awesome.

 

Recently paid off my preorder for winged dragon through show z.. really excited for him to come! Anyone else in the same boat waiting for him to come in? Hope it isn’t too long!

 

Transforming him was a HUGE Pain in the Servos...but he is beautiful. I MIGHT have to buy two!
I thought about placing him down on a towel next time I transform him to help reduce the chances of scratching and paint chipping.

 

Heh... Bobby Skull Face's distain for/lack of interest in Beast Wars shows through a bit in this one. He also totally misses out the second arm/hand, arm cannon configuration and the 'vehicle' mode... It's possibly his sloppiest, 'let's just get this done' review yet. Not that his final thoughts aren't valid or that I don't agree with many of them... I'm usually a fan but this ones a bit lacking.

 

I usually don't mind BSF, but good lord...it's not that bad. He has some valid points but they just seem to fall flat here. And with the third party Unicron. Okay, you don't care for it, but at least put a bit of effort in. Or don't do it. After he's messed with certain Fanstoys nightmares, he can at least try with these.
