The line's subtitle should be "mo' money, mo' problems."

This Bumblebee's definitely overpriced, but he's fun, not too complicated, doesn't take long to transform, and mine doesn't have any cracks after a lot of posing and transformations. The door heels might be a step back from MP-21, but he takes many steps forward in nearly every other way. I can confidently say he's my third favorite figure.

He’s been a near constant deskbot for me since his release. [IMG]

Dean, I’m not sure how effectively I can communicate how good it is to see your deskbots again. A little warm feeling my chest, bro.

This has probably been mentioned a dozen times on this thread already, but my biggest gripe is the fact that he has no waist swivel due to the transformation - do you think it's possible we may see a third party hip replacement that allows swivel movement or nah? I've seen it done with shadowfisher's hip skirt replacements for MP Ironhide and Ratchet, but I'm wondering if it's feasible for bumblebee 2.0?

Dean, good to see your desk bots! Excellent vibes coming from that lot!
He really is the perfect size for a desk bot. Fits right under the microscope for epic halo lighting. Also, people can complain all they want about his feet, but as someone who picks him up every day to strike a pose, I appreciate them more and more. His feet allow for stupid amounts of stable, badass poses. If your pose leaves you staring at his feet...you’re posing him wrong? He may look off at some angles, but it’s very easy to get him looking right!

Couldn’t agree more! A blast to pose, transform, and looks just like the Bumblebee I’ve wanted since I was 5 years old!

I can still safely say that after numerous transformations, my copy of MP-45 still hasn’t gotten any cracks at all (apart from the one crack in his hand from me manhandling the gun in a specific way which hasn’t gotten worse surprisingly) the only major issues I’m having is the minor paint chipping here and there.

Also the figure kinda has grown on me although I’ve probably said that already with my previous post.

but still the lack of waist swivels hurts my very spark.

Mine unfortunately wasn't so lucky. His right hand broke only a couple hours after I got him. Luckilly, a bit of Bondic a Christmas later and he's all good. Still got some paint chipping on him, but besides that, I do legitimately prefer him over my MP-21. Which ironically, I actually sold recently.

Though, I say all that while not excusing the horrendous engineering with the back and the feet. Legit in talks with my custom parts guy about coming up with some new parts for those. Definitely not on the top of our list, but definitely something I want to continue talks about as we go down the road.

I wonder if a 3rd/4th party would ever attempt to redesign bee 2.0 so that the back kibble tidied up better and allowed for wait rotation?

Would those that own MP-45 buy a 4th party improved version if released?

Here's a little mod I just did on my BB 2.0:

It kept bothering me that the hood didn't hold in place very well in alt mode: the front of the hood piece could dip below the edge of the foot piece that it sits against.

So, I cut some yellow plastic from my junk bin and created a tiny tab that I glued to the foot piece. That tab is basically invisible in robot mode, and in alt-mode keeps the hood from dropping lower than it should. Overall it makes the alt mode look a bit more clean IMO. Pics attached.

If you're inclined to duplicate this simple little mod, you just have to make sure the new tab is glued close to the edge of the foot so that it doesn't interfere with the transformation hinge in bot-mode. Hopefully the pictures make clear what I'm describing.

I just bought this figure. Definite top 5. Thought it was rubbish when I first saw the pictures. Changed my mind in hand. Of the phase 3 MPs he is easily the one you want to pick up and transform a couple of times.

Do people recommend putting future on the crotch and chest piece to stop paint chipping, or is this something I'm going to have to live with?

This figure is definitely better in hand than pictures and I wish more people would give him a shot. Congrats on getting him!

I really don’t understand why some are having paint chipping in those areas. Mine is still perfect except for one chip at the bottom of the chest that happens to some copies from transformation.

If the shoulders are in the proper spot with those little chamfers facing the correct way the crotch should not be chipped from transformation. I’m not sure how to protect the chest but like I said mine is still perfect and I’ve transformed it more than any other recent MP so I don’t have any issues.

if you don’t mind could you take a quick pic of the correct shoulder orientation you were referencing? I never transformed mine since putting it into bot mode but I wna mess with the chibi alt mode in the near future ... thx!

Actually come to think of it, the chip on mine is more likely from him dropping five foot from a shelf...
Sadly I snapped one of the hands. Is this the sort of thing that can be glued without taking the pin out? That's if I can ever get the remaining hand bit out from behind the pin.

    Where'd yours break?

Personally, one of my hands also broke, some Bondic onto it and it's all good as new. I personally took the pin out IIRC.
