Are the Decepticon Clones 2 pack a regular release, or a store exclusive?

If they do eventually make Deluxe scale Insecticon's they better be taller.

 

I hope you’re wrong. The Insecticons, IMO, should to be smaller, just like the minibots. Now the Deluxe Insecticons, I agree. Venom, Chop Shop, Barrage, and Ransack should be larger than the purple and black trio.

 

If the G1 scale chart is anything to go by, I think you're going to be disappointed.  

 

The Prime Wars trilogy gave us perfect Insecticons only downside is that they don’t come with guns. I’ll be keeping mine.

Packaging for the Decepticon Clones looks cool, just wish they were packaged together in the beginning. But at least now some of us will get these guys without hunting down them separately. And I think I've mentioned that a couple posts back.

 

This scale chart needs to be burned in effigy.

 

It burns that these guys, as re-releases, also come with a map piece, but at least their colors are different from the originals.

 

Dudes steal figures from the factory, sell them to reviewer who gets to make bank as the first review and all the front page glory that comes with it.

...and thus the cycle continues.

 

They were decent, but as small deluxes they 'll have a higher budget; higher part count, more paint and better engineering. So i say bring m on as deluxes.

 

Any idea whose going to be carrying these in Canada? EBGames? TRU?

Do you also avoid buying WFC Leader figures because they're smaller now?  

 

That's a good point. ER Optimus Prime was not smaller, it was exactly the size of voyager Siege OP, plus a $30 plastic bag pressed into the shape of a box. Size is not everything, indeed

 

Oof. The cheapest Takara version of these is over $70 on eBay. I guess I\'m glad these are coming out at a cheaper price for anyone who couldn\'t shell out for the giant box sets.

 

Yeah, I meant to clarify that a new Insecticon mold doesn't have to be SIEGE Deluxe Ironhide status, just taller than this current CliffJumper. Plus it's not like we haven't given a Deluxe Insecticon a pass before...

I'm aware of all of this..... But I'm also aware of "The Insecticon Syndrome" episode where the Insecticon's consumed a special source of Energon that allowed them to grow....


Yeah, it was only for one episode but it's still legit G1 source material that could allow HasTak to make both the Deluxe Insecticon's and Black and Purple ones out of the same 3 future molds.

Basically it comes down to how much you like the character in question. I'm not that big of a CJ fan which is why I simply gave TR Roadburn a red Bumblebee head. And looking at that picture of him between Pounce and Wingspan, I feel no regret. But if they do decide to make Deluxe class Insection's, I'll just buy one of each to lead the previous swarm of smaller clones...
