they are still very good toys as long as you can keep in mind that they are about 15 years old now and do not have a lot of the modern articulation standards.

some of the transforms can be finicky too but most that enjoy alts/bt have learned to love them.

Some of these guys are best left in alt mode. Sideswipe... Is not great. I still love him, but man, way to miss the mark on a concept with so much potential.

love the pics but yeah that viper in bot mode is some chunky funkyness.

I think deadend pulls off the mold a bit better. I don't have too many memories of him...never owned his G1 toy or remember him much outside of combined menasor mode in the toon, so it's easier for me to accept him as a chunky viper bot.

Sucks sunstreaker got put in the viper mold as well cause those 2 boys are used to looking slim and streamlined.

Hey guys. I want to do a custom on a Binaltech and this seems like a good place to ask for some advice. It's been years since I've owned any BTs, so I don't recall, but could anyone tell me if the Autotrooper head would fit on the Imprezza body and if it would have clearance to transform? Also, would anyone happen to have a spare Autotrooper head maybe? Alternatively, if anyone knows of 3d printed heads that would fit the Imprezza body that could work as well.
Basically what I need for the custom I want to do:
An Autotrooper head or different face plated head that would fit on Binaltech Bluestreak
Kiss Players Melissa and surfboard from Convoy
Thanks in advance for any help guys!

I'm confused. The autotrooper came on the Impreza body (so yes it fits). It's the one people take off to put on the prowl head, so most likely someone has an extra lying around.
I didn't realize that autotrooper lived on after BT/kissplay. Here's a shapeways link to a homage for a deluxe body. You might be able to get the designer to scale it up:

Autotrooper was the Mazda RX figure, not the Imprezza. That's why I'm not sure if it'll fit

You're right. I was remembering red alert and autotrooper as one. I'd still say email the designer on the link. It's the closest likeness I could find.

Haven't tried it (have the Autotrooper head stored somewhere), but first thought is: no.

Back then I planned to use BT* Alert as Clampdown (still imo a better choice than Alert from both a toy and a fiction perspective) and for this I wanted to put a Jazz head on the Alert body. It wasn't an issue as far as the balljoint was concerned (that fit pretty decently IIRC), but the back of the Jazz head protruded too much to allow a transformation. I expect this to be the same with the the Autotrooper head. I had to sand the back of the Jazz head quite a bit before transformation was possible.

    Im very happy guys!

Got the Chevy Cruze Subaru remold on the mail! I Love it! Seriously, is a shame we never got other remolds from China like this and the Hummer

Bought it last month from aliexpress after finding of his existence (Cant believe this figure is from 2012 or earlier!), for a fairly decent price. There´s other places in the web selling for higher prices, but i got it here:

€33.09 |Vehículos de juguete de aleación a escala 1:24 crumodelo de coche Cruze de coches de juguete para niños Original multifunción juguetes para niños|Juguete fundido a presión y vehículos de juguete| - AliExpress

(seems a discount might be available on june 15th, keep an eye!)

Thankfully, the seller packed well the box, but on his feedback one buyer shows a crushed package, keep in mind if you order there

Found an old review thread, every point is spot on with my figure. For now i didnt tried to force the doors and trunk for now to prevent breakage, but with patiente you can get it right in vehicle mode

    Unofficial Binaltech Chevy Cruze

Plastic quality feels alot better than the Metals Convert KO, Clear plastic is alot better no doubt, and the part tolerances as well... i could say is pretty similar to BTA Red Alert (wich i finally bought a few months ago), some loseness here and there, but if handled with extreme caution you should be fine... then i broke a shoulder tab :p

I mistransformed the shoulder wheels to differentiate from the other repaints, tried to remove the joint and the little tab broke... seems that plastic is more rigid than the original figure. Still, the arm holds just fine

I switched the head with a real Streak i have for now, i got plans for this guy. Since the box artwork shows a Red Movie Bumblebee, just like the 2007 Cliffjumper, is a no brainer to make a new head for him and call it a day

Now i wonder if there were more KOs released after 2012, most of the handful of repaints were from before that year if im not mistaken and just re-released from time to time

The way cliffjumper should have been released. If anyone knows where I can get a repro of the exhaust/ gun barrel, let me know. IMG_20200614_154829.jpg IMG_20200614_154859.jpg

Finally got labels for some of these bots. Skids was almost ruined taking off the factory paint. Oh, and if anyone has tips for getting Jazz's triangle label to lay down without bubbling let me know. Also, why didn't they switch the 4 and autobot logos?
