With FT after the final test shot images showing it in color, unless it is on display at some show we do not see anything until some retailer (either big or small) gets them in stock.

 

Honestly, I'm just dipping my toe in the water. If I like him well enough I'll order the last couple then catch up on what I've missed if and when they're rereleased. I'm too tight to pay overinflated secondary market prices.

There's two reasons I'd prefer a small change though, one is that the animation model and the vast majority of "correctly" animated scenes had the top chest square in white/light grey, and secondly if it stays dark grey on Magnum then a Decepticon logo may not stand out as much against it. It's not a deal breaker by any means, just not my preference, similar with the grey wings on Thomas.

 

Like everyone else on this forum, I'm eagerly anticipating the release of Magnum.

I just dropped in here after coming from the FT Thomas thread. Given this trend of Fans Toys selling out rather quickly, I'm just wondering why don't they just increase production volume? Clearly there's ravenous fan demand for their product. It will bring down the recommended retail price as well, assuming regular economies of scale.

 

I have no inside knowledge, but the most likely reasoning to me is lack of factory production time. 3P figures are not a major production run for factories, so the window they are willing to provide is not the same for large projects that bring them a lot more money.

 

I preordered at the low price. So I don't feel massively keen on paying the £8 to not be delayed...

 

was hoping the top grey square would be the same colour as the the rest of the chest but looks like it might be part of the car which is a bummer so even putting a logo there might look out of place when in alt mode

According to TFS-Express, the latest reissue of Koot had a bigger production run than many recent first run figures, still sold out within minutes of the pre-orders going up.
So the amount being made isn’t the issue, can only assume demand has increased.

I think there is a large group of us bidding up the prices on spoiler for recent ebay auctions. Yeah...I’m in that boat too. I only recently purchased roadking, and because he is so great, I preordered the other two. If anyone on the boards has a spoiler for sale, please let me know. Thanks in advance.
