If you want your Sideswipe nearly eye to eye with Astrotrain then yeah I guess it would work. Any other conceivable way...............nope. I don’t know how this would fit in a Masterpiece collection in any way unless you were repurposing your Classics as Masterpieces.

It’s really up to the eye of The beholder where they would want to display it. If anyone wants to put it with a MP collection they could also put Cybertron deluxe Optimus as a MP10/ MP 44 replacement. Fits just as well.

Evilistar was a really cool white, kinda toy inspired, very alt mode driven version of Astrotrain. @Lord Of Tetris is right that it is it’s own thing and I think the white version of it recalls the toys proportions and is really quite handsome. But I have never liked it in grey, trying to be the toon look. Not for me but Im hoping they sell some and fund their better, more modern work.

For some reason, maybe because the other Decepticons used him as a transport, a lot of people have it in their head that Astrotrain should be bigger than he actually is on the scale chart.

I believe he is referencing Siege/Earthrise Astrotrain is similar size to MP Sideswipe (MP cars are about Voyager size, Siege Leader figures are Voyager size with extra junk to increase the price Leader Class price point). They were arguing over this vs Siege to put in a display. Basically look vs size.

Zeta listed this as 22cm in the info of the first post, that is 8 2/3 inches.

 

Yep, that's what everything seems to indicate. For some odd reason I had it in my head he was smaller. Which makes the argument that Siege Astrotrain is equally sized for an MP shelf even more ridiculous.

 

That robot mode....meh. FT looks MUCH better.

 

The veh modes have merits, that bot mode is bout 8 years late, though.
