If Repugnus is in the series, will they let him truly be Repugnus?

 

So THIS is how they get me to buy a one-step changer. Well played, Hasbro.

That chibi bugmonster is amazing.

 

Found at Target in Richmond,CA. Only one of him on the shelf.

 

Only thing missing is a Stealth Force Cheetor.

 

So same wave as Repugnus?

 

From what I can tell,yes. They also had Repugnus and Bludgeon.

Just saw a thread for Repugnus and I see them at Target here in Portland OR.

 

Found this wave in Boise, ID today too. Couldn’t resist Repugnus.

Found Puggers today. $10 is simply too much for these toys, but I'll let it slide in this instance as this is probably the only one step I'll ever buy.


Hasbro just read that and immediately started designing a one step Rewind. :3

 

Why can't it be both?

For example, if my goal was to convince Hasbro to include Repugnus, I'd start with:

"And you know, older fans will appreciate the obscure G1 character... They might watch the show with their kids...   "

It's a very cute toy, but I decided to stick to my guns when I saw it: don't encourage Hasbro to make 1-step junk! Kids are not buying these Cyberverse toys; it's adults who are desperate for a decent Repugnus release!   For example, if some fan YouTubed a way to rig a sparker in that 1-step? He'd sell out instantly.

 

Why would it be both? The show's roster of characters in the season include brand new ones, so clearly not all of their choices are based on nostalgia. Specially not for Repugnus, who is not exactly an A or B or C-lister.

 

Got him a week ago at Target, he's neat.

 

I'm disappointed in the G1 inclusion. I think Cyberverse is doing badly; so badly that Hasbro allows more G1. Maybe from the beginning of the show (haven't had a chance to see it yet, sorry!).

Either way, TF sales are officially down (per Hasbro's last earnings call), and I'm reasonably concerned for Cyberverse. Repugnus should get more love; I just hate these spring-y 1-step toys!  

 

Repugnus is seriously the best one-stepper ever made. I saw him at the grocery store and grabbed for my son, who loves him. Both modes are great and even the gimmick is pretty decent.
