I mean...what?

The Cyberverse Deluxes are great, but they were likely never intended to go anywhere since they were introduced in line with the third (and final) season of the show. They're more likely testing the waters for BAFs as a more permanent fixture in the Transformers line.

 

The stress marks on the arm (visible in vehicle mode) are unfortunate. You'd think they'd try to show a sample which didn't have visible flaws like that.

 

Arcee images are great but it think it’s time to show more images of other characters like thunderhowl, earthrise arcee, and trailbreaker.

I have my issues (why does every Arcee have her entire car mode on her back??) but this looks like a really fun figure that I will probably buy.

Don't forget Studio Series FINALLY doing a scale/screen-accurate 3 pack! They came out officially on January 1st so that counts towards the Year of Arcee.

 

She's handcuffed by her bot design, which is based on a 30 year old character who didn't have to worry about being a functional toy.

It's likely one of the reasons recent fiction have had her turn in to a motorcycle. Less mass in alt mode means less backpack in bot mode.

 

Yeah you're right I just wish they'd come up with a better solution. Hasbro's solution when they don't know what to do is just "hide it in the back" way too often. Plus this is a different Arcee not exactly G1 (although cyberverse designs are basically G1 but stylized) so they could be a bit more creative.

I mean SOME vehicle kibble on her back is accurate to the design, but every official fembot that's not a motorcycle has a whole-ass car on the back, as if they've never figured out how to fold some of it into the torso or onto the arms and legs. At least this figure seems to have a touch of kibble on her arms which looks good. This figure still looks pretty great, way better than earthrise and the "hoverboard of bullshit".

 

Well I really hope HasTak can expand the BAF line, I need Shadow Striker!

 

Hell yes she needs a decent figure. Just in her preShockenstein treatment look with her sniper rifle.

At least it looks better than the earthrise one. I wonder how the two will scale, it may be worth trying to Frankenstein the two together into something that actually suits my tastes.

Maybe I’ll just buy another copy of the 30th gen toy instead, at least the chest actually transforms on that one

And once again, the entire vehicle mode is a shell strapped to her back.

 

I hope they use BAF to do stuff like Transmutate, BW Ravage, and Autobot X.

 

Arcee and shadow striker designs are kinda similar I’m sure this mold could be retooled into her.
