Show.Z Store does the laziest job of packaging their items I have ever seen. I'm tired of always getting my parcels CRUSHED and the product packaging itself damaged. So far, I've been lucky enough to not get the toys themselves damaged, but there's items whose packaging I want to keep, and in serviceable condition.

 

How could you possibly blame that on ShowZ?

 

Small box inside a much larger cardboard box with no padding in between and nothing to reinforce the much larger box.

 

Weird because I just got my X-Transbots Neptune from Show Z and the box was perfect. Perfectly packaged. No damage, they even cut foam inside to hold Neptune’s box tightly. Beautifully done.

 

Yeah, I've never had that experience either. Everything from Showz was always securely packed in styrofoam.

 

i was a little surprised with my seekers coming in a much larger box than expected. i was a little nervous as the box was crushed somewhat in the middle and when i shook the box, the inner boxes rattled around. when i opened it there was quite a bit of open space and no extra protection except those plastic corner pieces on the outer box. but i got really lucky i guess, especially given the four month wait, as there was no damage to original boxes inside whatsoever.

sorry to see your package looking like it has been steamrolled over!   i'd be pretty upset seeing that if it happened to me!

 

I'm not that upset. Like I said, the toys have been okay so far, and so far the toy packaging I was okay with tossing, but I've got some stuff on preorder from them I won't be so okay with damaged packaging. And it keeps happening... this time it was small box in big box, other times it's thin styrofoam around a box.. these methods of packaging have a high failure rate. I'm not asking Show.Z for a refund or anything like that or telling anyone not to buy from them. I just want them to do a much better job of packaging stuff going forward.

Did it come 3 in a pack or did you add all 3 into your cart individually.

I've never had that happen with ShowZ. I highly doubt that is ShowZ's fault. You can even see ShowZ went the extra step of adding corner protectors. That most likely happened in transit, possibly from your local postal carrier.

 

Dude, they put a box that's <2" wide in a box that was 10-12" wide. There was nothing to support it. The only part that wasn't crushed was the corners.

By the way, I know my local couriers, I speak to them all the time, or I did before Covid. I support their union, too. They always get my Ages 3 & Up boxes from across Canada, over 3000km away just fine. Of course, it doesn't hurt that A3U does a superb job packaging their items.

my thundercracker was opened, while the other two boxes the tape was unbroken. the figure was played with at some point as the arms were mistranformed and out of place in plane mode straight from the box. there was also a small paint chip at the corner of the grey paint on his chest.

still happy to have finally received them, but had to express my minor gripe with questionable "new" thundercracker i received.  

 

i would say the damage is most likely from loading and unloading from the ports to planes as well as sorting facilities in China.

 

Do you think they gave you a slightly used Thundercracker someone returned?

 

those are usually marked "sample" and only shipped from and to the country of the previous recipient.

maybe they weren't provided with product images and it was used to shoot a few.

 

i don't want to speculate too much. aside from it being open, the arms not being in the correct transformation position, and the small paint chip… everything else in the package looks to be fine and in as "new" condition as it should be from what i can tell.

i thought at first maybe it was opened and inspected before shipping, but neither of the other two boxes were opened. then i thought maybe it was to remove the bonus megatron replacment legs. as during the time i purchased it, many vendors were still including it with the 3 pack purchase, though for a little more money. i opted to go with ShowZ and save the extra cash and forgo receiving the legs for a megatron i don't have. it was included with one of the figures either thundercracker or skywarp, but i can't recall which.

oh and i forgot to mention. the 3 boxes were taped together inside within a layer of bubble wrap. so it wasn't completely unprotected, but it was still loose inside the much bigger box.

 

That's unfortunate, someone must have fell asleep and forgot the padding...and looks rolled over.

My experience with their packaging has been pretty solid and consistent. A few days ago my Cang Toys Ferocious was delivered during a tropical storm and left on the side of my house (was raining too hard to make it to my doorstep where there's cover). Sat in the rain for hours, but after going through the plastic, bubblewrap, cardboard, etc, the product was completely dry, and in pristine condition. I guess it helps too when items have their own protective box.
