This could've been better geared to mobile devices like phones/tablets if it's not already there.

With Devastation I knew what to expect; a flashy game with fun gameplay that I could probably beat on the weekend and pick up again some other time. It looked the part of what I expected from a console game, but I knew from the beginning(judging from Platinum's other games that I have) that it probably wasn't going to be in-depth.

More time was probably spent posting in this thread than any younger fan will probably spend playing the actual game.

    I'm not. Not like this.
This is a glorified phone app. If we are gonna get a Transformers game on the switch, can it aleast look like something belongs on a switch?
Ain't no fucking way I'm spending more than $1 on a freaking phone game! And to go that far that I have to REALLY love it.

Yeah I'm not feeling this myself. I wasn't expecting a WFC/FOC styled game anytime soon but this really gives off the vibe of a very safe mobile styled game that doesn't have anything really exciting going on which is sad because some actual mobiel TF games like Forged to Fight actually have that going for them. This on the other hand doesn't. I wouldn't be shocked if this ends up not impressing people in the long run.

    This is desperate.
    Movies.
    WFC.
    FOC.
    Comics.
    Prime.

None of that was kiddie shit.
And even then, kiddie shit doesn't excuse bad products.

    Who said it was "small"????

Countless times Hasbro has acknowledged and given thanks ADULT'S at Toy fair fairs and conventions resulting him them adhering to our request. My son's wouldn't have even cared about TF growing up if I hadn't introduced it them 14 years ago.

So my point still stands. Overall I hope that this turns out to be better than it looks so far but right now I'm not all that pressed for this game. Especially considering how high the bar was raised with WFC/FOC.

Anyone else notice that in the trailer the burger shaped building is shown at least three times in five seconds. Makes you wonder how varied the landscape is gonna be in the full game.

Just from the visuals, seems like it's trying to cater to the kiddies, and not just the TF hardcore fans.

I have seen anecdotal evidence of this on Youtube. The Cinemassacre guys played Devastation on one of their videos. They don't seem to buy the current toys, but they are "Geewunners" in the sense that they hate Bayformers and love the old cartoon. Obviously, they loved the game. I think if you made the game well enough it could cater to both nostalgic adults that don't buy toys and ones that do buy toys, as well as kids.

That said, this doesn't look like it's "well made". It seems like a mobile game so it doesn't cater to older fans or people who like "regular" video games. Definitely does not cater to High Moon or Devastation fans. It would cater to mobile gamers, but $40 upfront? I would assume this is marketed at young kids...but given how much of the competition is free (or at least, starts off free until you want a cool skin), I don't know how well this would sell with that demographic. Just my :2c: . I am no expert on the matter.

I'm going to be open minded of this game. Sure, the trailer didn't make me overly excited for it, but I'm willing to wait and see gameplay videos and read and watch reviews before I make up my mind on this game.

I just hope it has a diverse range of characters.

probably, from what we understand the certain affinity game is going to offer something more appealing so it's a weird move for that to be free then make this $40

Imagine an elementary schooler waking up for his Saturday morning Cyberverse cartoon and then opening up MTMTE volume 4 right after.

It's true were greedy adults who want Transformers from OUR youth but we have to give it to them for reaching a younger crowd to make new fans and down the line they can rediscover The Transformers mythos/history at a later time.

Plus more new fans more products down the line for old and new alike. But it does suck waiting.
