I received my copy of Sheridan last week. The knees feel good. I haven't had the time to transform it fully, though the instructions suggest that the process isn't too bad.

For my collection, he fits, but just barely. He's not exactly toy nor toon accurate. (I think it would be hard to get a tank to turn into a robot without some sacrifices.) I feel his shoulder connections leave a lot to be desired, in terms of design. His proportions seems like they are set to "heroic human", which is to say, wide-set shoulders, and a narrow waist. It's pretty easy to get him into stylish action poses, or use that hinged ab crunch (don't look around the back or sides, or you'll see that nasty gap that happens), but step back, without the fancy focus tricks, and he's... OK. He's heavy, he's made with reasonably tight tolerances, and the paint looks good. The head sculpt is pretty decent (but I will accept that FT didn't have to sculpt half a face).

(Now, Wardog looks like he's gone to the gym, and then gone back some more. He has not skipped leg day, that's for sure. In comparison, with Sheridan, it's like he's wearing a skinny suit, comparatively.)

If you missed Wardog, Sheridan is good. Sheridan is a great Warpath. Could he be better? Definitely. I feel like we need a "Goldilocks" version - Wardog is too big; Sheridan is too small; we need one that is "just right".

See the link. Toy Dojo seems to be sold out of the upgraded screw for non customers. Still it can't hurt to email them ([email protected]) to see if they can still help.
You can also try send ing a PM to @ShowZStore for the screw as they may still have some available. You can also email Baba's store as they may still have screws [email protected].

Thankfully, I seem to have lucked out with my copy of Sheridan - it seems quite robust! I began testing it fairly carelessly, progressing with ill-advised & ever-increasing rigour (though still ostensibly following the instructions - I didn't want to go completely nuts). I could find no fault in the figure anywhere, at least in terms of QC (aside from a minor niggle about some plastic distortion that occurs when tabbing the hands/wrists into place between modes). The knee pins in my copy do not appear to be any different from those shown in the horrific photos that first showcased this problem, yet they withstood some considerable force as I pushed the joints to their limits. While I'm pleased to be one of the lucky ones who actually got what they paid for, I don't know for certain that this will remain the case. Can I safely pass the figure down as a family heirloom that will stand the test of time, or is it a ticking, monopodic time-bomb just waiting for the right time to pounce & forever shatter Warpath's dreams of becoming a "BOOM! ZOW-WEE! world famous KABOOM! ballet dancer?" Who knows, but in the meantime, I'm going to get my hands on some spare screws, just in case.

PS: I found the following video very helpful, I'm sorry if it's been shared before. It highlights a feature I suspect may be exacerbating the situation with the knee joints, in that it describes how missing a very small but quite important early transformation step can add unnecessary pressure that ends up putting added strain on an already weak joint:

Got mine, transformed it a couple times, no problems. The knee connections are a little loose but it doesn't hurt him at all (yet).

I love how the treads on the feet collapse.

Omegalock have this, Maverick and Jabber back in stock if anyone is looking:

    Fans Toys - Omegalock

Ordered a Sheridan and Jabber at last. Hopefully the leg issue is sorted on this batch. Also I never fully followed the story but didn't Jabber also have a leg issue?

If you're the type that likes to transform your figures then just give it a go. I'm the type that likes to transform any figure without looking at the instructions or videos before hand. That being said when I have no clue where to go or something doesn't want to move the way it looks like it should go, I look at the instructions and/or emgo's "Just Transform It" video. I had to do that for Sheridan in two places for the tab on the back of the knee and for flipping over the grey panel on his back.

    That impressed me as well.

On my Jabber, one foot is higher than the other so it doesn't stand flush. I PM'ed Fanstoys about it, and they said they were all like that. Doesn't mean they didn't fix it on the second batch.

I saw a couple that broke at the knee on Jabber, but wasnt a huge issue. The main issue with him is clearance issues with parts on the back of his leg. I need to fiddle with it and move the knees around during transformation to get some parts around others. If you do the steps per the instructions it will leave stress marks on the hinges and possibly break.

Is the wait time similar to DX9 Richthofen?

One of the knees on mine was super tight, and while I was worried it would break, I was able to slowly work it back and forth until the issue was resolved and it could bend 90 degrees back and forth without issue.

The Styrofoam insert of my Sheridan has 2 layers of tape holding it together on all 4 sides. Did anyone else have that on their copies? My concern is that the figure was repacked by a previous owner and sold to me as New. In my photo of one side it appears that the Fans Toys branded tape is applied over a regular strip of packing tape

    IMG_7935.JPG

I dunno. To me it's weird because none of the other Fans Toys products I've purchased have ever had that done before.

Does it have the fix in place on both knees? It might have been opened at the factory and the modification done to it.

FYI I will be listing in the sale thread, but I have a extra Sheridan MIB only opened to inspect QC and it is good to go. I have the replacement screw with it also.

$140 with 2 day shipping in the US.

No fix applied on either leg. Both still have the flat screw.

After nearly 2 months of waiting he showed up this am, from TF Direct.
Looks good. Knees seem nice and tight, no wobble. QC 21. Now to decide if I want to try and transform him...

Mine were good until I transformed him. Now he has the gimp. Ask the retailer to send you some screws.

From baba? It's like the Richthofen saga you experienced all over again.
    What does the tracking say?
Try emailing the seller for an update.

I was able to sell my extra one I had and secure funding for Magnum or Koot (reissue). Depends on which releases first.
