In-hand images of Bumblebee plus comparison shots next to Optimus Prime and Megatron. It seems that they do trasnform, not clear if you have to rebuild them or not.

Awesome. Hope you can share pictures and confirm if they transform or you have to rebuild them.

I never understood these type of sets
When I was a kid we had regular legos and built anything our brains could come up with. There were no themed sets that pretty much forced you to only build certain things. If the parts included are only good for building a Bumblebee, why not skip the building part all together ? Just give me a Bumblebee, without all the stupid looking lego ports.

They don't transform. They don't share enough parts to transform. Gotta be rebuilt Kreo style

Lots of people collect Legos just to put the set together and sit on a shelf, the same way people will buy transformers just to sit them on a shelf. There's nothing wrong with that. It's just a way of collecting.

Besides , the instructions are just recommended, just to give you an idea of what to build, what the pieces can be used for. You could leave out the specialized head piece in any one of these sets and build anything your heart desires

I get that. But so much yellow bricks and car parts makes for a very limited scope if youre desire is just to build, put away, and build again. The same with lego that forces you to do star wars, knights and dragons, astronauts. I dont hate building. I used to love my OG lego sets. I just hate themed sets.

Because it's fun to build something into a finished product. Basically it's the whole reason model kits exist. Sure, you can make anything you want, but it's also fun to have some kind of end goal when creating something and watch it slowly come together. You just don't get the same sense of accomplishment when you create something random—it's still an accomplishment, but it's a different feeling altogether.

Some people just like the building aspect. For me, it makes owning a set feel more personal, since I myself put some effort into creating it. And being Lego, you can always modify or rebuild it as you please. You're never forced to just let it sit there the way it is after you build it. Otherwise MOCs wouldn't exist. Really, you don't even need to follow the instructions if you don't want to.
Some people do leave sets alone after they build it, and if that's how they enjoy a set, that's their choice.

I got it from, TaoBao website.

Its a rebuild for sure. But I'll probably keep it in bot mode .

Sometimes after a full day of creative work and making stuff up, its nice to zone out and just build without thinking and end up with something from your hobby you like. I design and animate most of the day so when it comes to some fun relax time, aside from video games building gundams or lego is a nice release.

Today I learned that a Chinese manufacturer wholly ripped off LEGO's Technic designs, and they made some danged nice models with it.

That Bumblebee absolutely cannot transform from alt mode to bot mode, you can tell by the windows on the bot mode shoulders not sharing surrounding parts with the alt mode windows. Still a neat design.

I also learned they made a remote-control vehicle that looks suspiciously like the Hailfire Droid from Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones.

ETA: And I learned I got beat to the punch on that Hailfire Droid thing by 4 minutes.

As a LEGO-fan, can confirm. I see only 5 Onebot-original pieces - knees of Optimus and Bumblebee and the heads. Even Kre-O was more original, introducing large variety of pieces from modified bricks to panels.
This looks like chinese lego knock off which technically true

I just want transforming Kreons like the ones that came out just as Kre-O died.

And then wound up only available in closeout stores.

    Sucks, don't it?
