This Metroplex is all built from insulation foam board. I wanted to do something geometric, and it doesn't get a lot more geometric than Metroplex. The boards I'm using are one inch, and one half-inch think, so I need to layer them to make the thicker shapes. The only glues I can use that don't eat the foam are rubber cement and white wood glue. He won't transform. As of now, he will only have articulation at his shoulders, hips and neck, but he's so top-heavy, he might get his hips glued. He's kind of a Metroplex Shogun Warrior. lol The 26 inch height is an estimate, since I haven't added his head yet, but I figure it will be around there. Earthrise Prime for scale. Thanks for looking!
Thank you everyone! You'll find I'm full of surprises! Back atcha! I am seriously going to have nowhere to put this thing. lol Chunky Chunk, all day. lol I'm thinking about cutting an inch out of his thighs to make his proportions even squatter.
I've scene bigger, I remember seeing a way taller metroplex that was as tall as the TV and TV stand combined and I think it said it was in masterpiece scale, I'm not saying this is a bad figure its pretty cool
Hey guys! Thanks for the kind words! Not much progress. He's kind of fallen to the side in favor of other projects at the moment, but I haven't forgotten about him. Some day. lol
