I assume that was the intent, and I guess it was easier to just steal the last dune buggy Kreon wholesale and just make it green instead of doing a proper Armorhide Kreon.

 

I love how the little Green N.E.S.T figure might be a reference to Dune Runner. I recall Beachcomber was a repaint of him, so this looks to be in reverse.

I really wonder why they\'re getting rid of Evac figures. Maybe the molds were too old or they didn\'t sell well? Seems like an odd choice given he\'s practically the star of the Ride 

 

I thought Kre-O was pretty much dead, no? Most of these Lego-ripoff lines died pretty fast. Megabloks is mostly gone too.

 

Wonder if those fun little kreo stop motions are coming back.

That's so bizarre though - why? Evac is a central point of the ride, why would you go through the hassle of making a new kreon (or basically repainting an old one) to replace him?

Maybe the ride vehicles are going to be repainted and rethemed to generic NEST vehicles, removing Evac entirely? That'd be really lame.

Hopefully it just means they're making a new Evac figure.

Kidding aside, (though not really because we all know it’s true), I don’t see why the inclusion of the NEST bot. Feels extremely random. Like why not just make a secondary pack to be sold next to the other that has the NEST bot, Starscream, DOTM Megs, and Sideswipe. If they wanted just one package, why haven’t bothered to change Megatron’s chest and legs to reflect his DOTM body?


Edit: Also weird they’re getting rid of EVAC toys since EVAC is basically the entire ride. I hope this means that’s a way to get rid of old stock and give him a slightly new design or something and a new SS figure to be sold there.

I\'m surprised Hasbro doesn\'t do Kre-O anymore. Why is that?

 

I was wondering why Evac had disappeared from the Universal online store. I guess like others have speculated the mold has likely degraded over time which is understandable considering they had to have the figure in stock constantly in Singapore, Hollywood, and Orlando. It was only a matter of time.

Guess the Evacs I have are alot more valuable now xD

Also I don't think they're going to rebrand Evac as some generic NEST vehicle considering the 3D portion does have his arm come out at various points during the ride where he partially transforms.

Because it didn't sell well. Shame really cause given their compatibility with LEGO I was enjoying those little figures.

The first Evac toys, if you’ll recall, were based on concept art; the Deluxe in particular was also only a 4-seater.

I ordered this set on the Universal online store before news of the third variant broke. To my relief, it arrived today and was indeed the second version of this set, retaining Evac and using the updated Kreon bodies. Oddly enough, the set only came with one stand piece. I'd love to get more but given that Kre-O is dead, I may have to sub in some Lego stand pieces. Other than that, it's exactly what I'd hoped for. It's impressive how detailed the movie-style prints make the Kreons look.
