Anyone have a tutorial or pics to help with replacing the ankle on Soar? I took out the obvious metal screws in the area, but the parts do not want to separate.

 

oh wow i didn't know they'd replace it, i ended up taking mine apart and running a screw into both ends to hold it togther. works but isn't as tight a joint as i'd like

 

Right, really late to the show here but hear me out please. I've had this guy for over two years now and I only just noticed his box clearly says iron dinobots instead of the usual iron dibots and I really have no idea what it means. Is it just a typo? Do all the Soars have this on their boxes or is it a rare case? I'm sorry if this has already been answered but I can't find anything on this topic really. Thanks in advance guys!

 

Mine has the same.. apparently it happened with early releases of the product..they ended up sending stickers to cover it up later I think in the future.

 

Thank you for the reply! Was kinda worried that I ended up with a fake of some sorts. Not that I care that much because I love this set on my shelf one way or the other but I'm glad to know that it's a genuine FT product. Thanks again for the help!

 

I was worried too at first and others on this board helped me with the info. Glad to help out. I also asked dalianjj and he told me there are no KOs for fanstoys.

 

If I remember correctly, the entire first run had the typo. I got mine from BBTS when it first came out and it arrived with the sticker applied over the typo.

Does anyone know where I can buy the replacement metal knee clips? I reached out to dalainjj, who was very helpful, but his order never arrived (he refunded the price--he's been absolutely fantastic). I'm not interested in buying Grinder just to get the clips.

Hi, would anyone happen to have a spare left wing (chrome type)? I have contacted Fanstoys but they don’t have any spares of this.

 

If you have the spare alternate wing set in your box, you can try swapping out the broken grey plastic hinge with an intact one from a spare wing. Unfortunately looks like only one end of the pin is exposed, so may require extra effort to extract the pin.

 

Yeah, I thought of that but I’ve the touch of an elephant, probably two sets of wings ruined.

 

Asking for a friend who tried posing his Soar for the first time and this piece fell off. Is this broken, or can just be glued back in place?
