Yeah, did you get yours in one shipper or two separate shippers?

I don't mind if that's how they do it, tbh

Still, for what you're getting it's a good deal. The set originally cost $600, plus $40 for the upgrade kit, so that's a discount of over $240.

Too bad he doesn't have the Tyrant and Megasorry (a name I find eternally amusing) model kits, but hey, CHROME.

I don't have him, photo is taken from one of the customers reviews on Taobao. And I believe that's the custom mouse pad that he comes with, on the left.

Yeah, can't remember what GT was sorry for when they released Megasorry. But you can get the Tyrant KO by KuBianBao - KBB Walthertron. It's dirt cheap, anyway.

Iron Factory's Bridgewatcher or its cheaper Pocket Toys KO can also fit Gravity Builder's hand peg holes, if you want a Shockwave as well.

Maybe they were sorry about the figures needing upgrade kits that came with whatever the next toy in the series was?

Speaking of, does the reissue have the improvement kits installed?

I sold mine this week. Hopefully there will be a new legend sized Devy this year or next.

It was an amazing and heavy figure. But.. it was very bad to handle. It stands on foot very well, my copy had very thight joints with the emanel fix, but... I never played with him, neither for pictures or actions poses... to hard to move, manipulate, etc... that guy is HUGE.

Then just imagine Unicron when he drops next year - heaviest and largest TF figure ever.

I'll tinker with GB eventually, I also ordered a full set of Reprolabels for him.

Also, if anyone is interested, I might sell the light-up head and chest plate from the upgrade kit (don't really do light-up gimmicks), so PM if you want 'em.

I am thinking about getting this guy just because he looks cool (I mean he's Devestator). I am at this point only doing MP scale, which this guy isn't I believe.

Do people think the figures are worth this reduced cost?

If you want MP scale then you'd be better off going for the OS version Jinbao did. With the upgrade parts it does hit the scale you want.

I have the first version of this set on my MP scale shelf because I prefer this size class of combiners. But if you’re looking for a team that’s at least Starscream-sized in bot mode and towers over regular MP figures in combined mode, yeah, JinBao is a better choice.

Thank you for the replies. I think I didn't make my query with enough clarity. I realize this isn't MP scaled, and that's ok, because he seems awesome and reasonably priced. I don't need this particular piece to be an MP Devastator, just more looking for whether it's a really cool toy/set despite it being whatever scale it is.

For example I think I might keep it at work and not with my regular stuff.

ordered - too good a deal to pass even though I have gone the MP route with all my combiners

That being said I had seen this a couple of years ago In person which is what got me into 3rd party combiners And figures

Yeah, I saw that deal on BBTS and said fuck it. Ordered.

I have TFC Hercules and TW Constructor already. I'll probably get the FT bots if they ever get around to it.

It's all good cause Devastator was always a favorite of mine. I dreamed of having the G1 toys when I was little.

I like the new colors on this GT Gravity Builder much better than the first round. I couldn't get that first version because the colors were too far off to me.

Any chance you could get a proper measurement to the top of his head? I saw one of the descriptions online saying he's 17.75" tall. I assume that means to the top of his shoulders and that he's the same size as the original, but getting confirmation on that would be appreciated.

Yeah that $269 price is an incredible deal. Us early adopters paid $100 for each individual figure.

The original ($600 version) was my desk bot at my last game company gig, and it always turned heads. The plastic quality is high, and I really like the somewhat stylized/greeble-y look.
I’m very happy with it, and would definitely recommend it.
It’s a smidge unstable, but even when it’s taken a dive, nothing has broken.

Thanks for the reply. I had almost got it when it originally came out because I thought it looked so good, but between the price and scale I always managed to hold off. This price seems ridiculously good though. So ordered.

It figures this deal happened. I just finished collecting a Daban set.

    Screw it, I preordered anyway.

For anyone that has the new set, on the inside of Mixer's drum...is it still purple plastic?

I've been watching a few videos where it looks like some auto degreasers have been used to removed chrome off plastic for Hot Wheels collectors. Those drums come off via screw and well...the chrome drum is really all that bothers me.
