I like how Maverick's helmet is painted like the pilot helmet in the film.

Is the Maverick figure a new mold? The image of the bot mode on the box gives me Bayverse vibes.

 

Cyclonus isnt a suprise, Unicron we know is coming, Galvatron is on the box so hes likely coming, TFTM 34 Anniversary is next month with 35 next year which is the same year that Unicron comes out, these are not coincidences.

Could this Cyclonus be 86? I highly doubt it, everything else in the image is ER, Cyberverse or that crossover TG × M, the 86 listing was just discovered, it hasn't even been a month yet but Unicron being made always meant that his apostles were not far behind.

It's fine for other figures, including SS to have blast effects, Cyberverse does however, If SS figures were to have blast effect nubs on them, it would go against the aim of the line in keeping with big screen details as close as possible, also it would look kind of unsightly, dont forget Cyclonus there also has a 5mm port on the roof, SS try to eliminate holes and nubs that are not screen accurate. SS aims for as close to screen accurate as possible, a hypothetical SS86 follwing the animated movie would have very smooth details, a nub would break that and be very noticeable.

I think we should wait until we see Grimlock to make any claims definitely but I would say the chances of this Cyclonus being SS86 are EXTREMELY low.

 

I'm fine with the t30 and CW cyconus figures I have. I do admit this one is spot on though!

 

Wow... this shit is amazing! That Cyclonus is what I have been wanting for a long time. And yeah, it definitely looks like a production sample of some sort. I'm very happy for Thrust, and if this an ER Soundwave, then I am actually glad, and also this would be why I didn't touch the Siege version, which I do like as a Soundwave figure in general. And I'm not a Top Gun fan, but that figure looks really good either way.

 

SOOOOOO excited for Cyclonus. Came very close to settling for the CW one a few times and I'm so glad I didn't. Nothing against those that like it, it's just never what I wanted for the character.

I feel like the Er soundwave is just gonna be a repaint and that’s it, from the looks of it, it is because it has the same panels and even the landing gear in his arm, so for me a pass because I already got one. the cyclonus though ohhhhh my goooood ness I will sell my classics for it real fast

Cyclones is awesome but that top gun cross over figure is down right amazing hoping they do a mig cross over jet as well

The Soundwave does have a little remolding in the legs. They are flatter on the bottom and seem to lack the molded detail the Siege version has. I think the crotch might be less molded too.
