Correct me if I’m wrong, but I found a SS 36 TLK Drift at Meijer in Normal, IL. I thought it was an Entertainment Earth online exclusive in the US and hasn’t been seen at retail before

Woah. That's strange. I always thought it was an exclusive as well and wouldn't show up at a grocery store like Meijer.

I know earlier in the year stores like Target, Walmart, and Meijer were restocking some of the older waves of Studio Series (mostly wave 5 from what I can recall). Maybe, somehow, this is part of that reissuing and Hasbro is letting stores get a hold of these exclusives?

I'm not sure what this set originally sold for but I'd be a little salty if this retail release is cheaper.

Meijer owns Kroger or the other way around IIRC, anyone see this at a Kroger Marketplace?

Kroger owns Fred Meyer. Meijer is its own company.

I know I've seen that Drift set in a store somewhere, but I'll be damned if I can remember where. I just recall thinking the little dinos might be worth picking up the set.

I didn't bother getting the helo drift (yet), but could probably be talked into this for the dinos if I ran across it at retail. Kinda bored right about now on the collecting side.

I would definitely would have bought him if I would have found him at retail and didn't have him already. He's definitely great looking with a paint job that makes a not so great mold really shine visually.

OTOH thee dinos are awesome accesories but the main figure is dissappointing. It kinda shows he's basically a AoE mold released in SS because his not as polished. He's also really floppy too. I actually had to get a replacement and EE let me keep the defective copy, which I sold really cheap to a fellow collector (he was well aware of the toys problems and decided to buy him anyway)

Yeah the box is longer than a standard Deluxe box. Possibly the same size as the one released for Bumblebee with the Camaro add ons

Yes, because of the included "bonus" figures and because Drift was not part of a general retail assortment, he came in a non-standard-sized box.

There's been some debate about the specifics of his alleged "exclusivity". Although Entertainment Earth at one point claimed that he was an "Entertainment Earth exclusive", that detail was later changed to simply say "exclusive", and he was also sold by Big Bad Toy Store, TFsource, ToyWiz and even Diamond Comic Distributors/Previews. Some people suggested that since Entertainment Earth also acts as a wholesaler, those other stores and venues sourced their stock through EE, but I find the inclusion of Diamond odd if this were just stock ordered through EE. It's also possible that EE's website staff was initially mistaken and this was always intended as a "shared online exclusive", not an actual EE exclusive.

I should have clarified that I meant it's not an adapted Voyager box :p

    Looks like its too wide/square.

which it thought was interesting since it looks like it's being sold at the voyager price point and would have probably fit nicely in a Voyager box - but maybe not displayed the contents the way they'd like.

Seemed surprising they'd make a new dieline and package shape for an exclusive figure.

I haven't gotten around to watching that last Bay movie. Judging by what I know of it, and factoring in "baby dinobots," that shit must be one hell of a fever dream.

yeah, I mean, I enjoyed TF07 and liked DotM "ok", but AoE was just sucha nonsensical mind numbing slog, and when most folks on here posted that TLK was more of the same but somehow even worse I just couldn't bring myself to put myself through it.

I liked his Bugatti version, especially because the engineer was able to incorporate the real grill in the transformation. I’m not a fan of this version. His conversion was too similar to Crosshairs and too shellformery.

Thank you, sir! I really wanted those baby dinobots, but was not willing to pay $30 for one of the Top 5 most atrociously ugly Transformer designs that came along with them.

My Meijer in WI had a shelf overflowing with these listed at $29.99. I took a chance and scanned it and, sure enough, it rang up at only $19.99!
