    Good luck man!

Be careful with the soft plastic. Masking tape will take off any paint you've put on. I didn't try sanding the surface first. That may help.

I was going to ask you about that. I was planning on using primer and then spraying it. Is that what you did?

I used testors spray enamel and krylon primer/paint combo. Both pulled off.

Made some progress, built him a skeleton out of doll joints I bought from a thrift store and a Plex pipe. He'll have all the modern range of motion except waist swivel. Just bought nuts and screws to mount his skeleton.

Skeleton is now integrated. Shins and feet aren't bolted on yet. Robot mode is nearly done and I'm starting to think about the alt mode and base.

I want to use Ironworks as a head master, control tower, and platform in base mode. That would be 4 modes, so not sure if that's possible.

Turns out he's made of unpaintable plastic, so that's something I'll have to figure out later. I tried 3 different formulas of super glue on him and none of them stuck.

Got my aircraft carrier today. Ironworks/ the head should come tomorrow. I'm not sure which orientation I like best for the base, carrier mode, or sword.

I'm going to try not to use any partsforming.

This is going to be awesome! FWIW, I like orientation 1 for the sword, 2 for base mode, and 1 for carrier mode.

Put a lot more work in. Still need to paint the arms and tweak the head mode, but I think he's looking pretty impressive. I'll take pics of the other modes later.
