If they planned on this recolor, they should have designed the trailer so it could be transformed into his gurnee, with this version painted orange inside (or pink or whatever color it was in the movie).

this year is the 10-year anniversary of the Convoy sleep mode Masterpiece figure that the was released takara tomy. so it kind of makes sense we are getting the corpse of optimus prime this year.   

 

Unless this was supposed to be an exclusive, I honestly don’t see the point. I’m glad some people like it, but I really don’t see this selling well. Personally, there are at least two other repaints I would rather have seen.

 

It kinda feels wrong to see him up and standing... zombie Prime? Interesting they remolded the antennae... more like it was bent with a heater. But nice colors.
Will skip this though, I don\'t really need it to depict a dead Prime... Was never a fan of the \"turns grey when dead\" idea that the movie introduced, it wasn\'t used before (and not used in the comics either), and to me made little sense, if they can do that when dead, wouldn\'t they be able to change their colors when alive, too?

if someone wants to recreate the Transformers Generation 1 Movie in a stop-motion form they could do that now now that we have proper Generations figures of almost all of the movie character with the quintessons and Alec on on the way, plus corpse Convoy you could probably create recreate the entire movie in stop motion

Ah so it it is, that confirms it. Dead Optimus is Alternate Universe Optimus Prime.

So for those who want this, it’s supposedly going to be a Amazon exclusive.

 

But that’s probably their spark giving the body colour or something. Sparkless protoforms are also grey/ silver before they get a spark.
