Ancestrod (At least mine), is really floppy. Some weird tolerances. Like the holes to mount the swords in beast mode are too small for that. He's also not super solid. The beast mode head doesn't peg into his chest, it sort of rests there and flops out if you move in.

He's not BAD, but Red Bull blows him out of the water in terms of quality.

ancestrod's shoulder and hip joints are WAY too hard ratchet joints that squeak worse than any fanstoys and each time I make it click or ratchet; I'm scared it might break, REALLY super stiff as to where red bulls are easy to move and holds well with friction. Also, ancestrod has alot of "wiggly-waggly" action going in if u pick him up and give him a jiggle when red bull doesn't do that. And I agree with the above post about the holes for the swords; they should either be bigger or the swords shouldn't have so much paint on em.
Dont get me wrong, I absolutely love ancestrod and wouldn't ever get rid of him but I would make changes to him if I had the ability concerning these few items.

I'd like to chime in that my Ancestrod moves and acts like a dream. No floppiness and is fucking awesome. Of course, YMMV with any figure, but I lucked out on a good one and would highly recommend it.

First full sized non Takara figure in a long time. I like him but if they did a G2 version with a angry face like the MP this one would be for sale in an instant.

Just got this in the other day and I gotta say I'm rather impressed with it. The legs and arms are that easy, I feel. The only part I get worried with is the head portion. I wish there was just a tad more play room. No matter how I move the arms around and those white pieces, I still feel like I'm forcing the head through. I've been ever so careful tho. The outcome is awesome. I love it!

Yeah, I move my arms out and pull the white pieces out like him, but he makes it seem like it goes through like butter. Haha! I'll keep playing around with it (carefully). Doesn't change how I feel about it. Pretty neat little figure.

I believe he also rotated the shoulder grey rings (the ones with the connecting tab to the chest) too.

As promised... the best mode. Only a few paint scrapes...just some minor stuff to be fixed.

Looks great, but the side view, there is one big block without the cover and quite obvious, maybe u can do something about it?

Trying to fix that would mean that have to create a cover for the arm. That would add a lot of bulk to the figure and the bull mode already thick enough.

I'm just treating it like a regular beast wars figure, inevitably they all have their robot kibble that is obvious in beast mode. Mine will be no different unfortunately.

That said...I had considered it, but could not come up with a acceptable solution.

Quick and easy way will be just parts-former. Maybe become a shield in robot mode.

Give it a red cape to drape over it. And then a matador's sword as an additional accessory. Revel in the irony!
