I used to really get into sports, like fantasy football, but finally dropped it all. I used to get upset when my teams lost, but then you realize that either way you get out of bed and go to work the next day. What those guys do has no effect on my life.
I love to play sports, though, running around and getting exercise. But I no longer watch it on tv.

Oh, I fully respect sports fans for enjoying their past time, I never meant any other way. My distaste is typically it's viewed as "healthy" but when you take away the actual object of the passion, it's the same as those who are fans of fantasy work or plastic crack. The part that annoys me is people looking down on these non sports related hobbies while participating with even higher fervor at their own hobby.

I'm fully in the happy for whatever makes others happy (as long as it doesn't infringe on others' well being obviously).. until they declare what makes them happy is superior or "more right" than what makes me happy. The sports part is just an example of the double standards people use judging this and other hobbies of mine.

In my youth I'd get upset over it, nowadays I sigh in pity at the narrow mindedness of it all... even though I do show my annoyance at the ignorance at times like my prev post.

Afterall, we all know only soundwave is superior.

You can still respect someone’s expressions of passion while simultaneously finding the subject of there obsession utterly moronic.

Doesn't sound particularly respectful of their "expressions of passion" to me...

To be fair, I like to get drunk and scream at my wall of transformers for fun.

And, once they start screaming back, you know you’ve had enough.

no, in my rant above, no, it's a rant at the stereotype when compared to sport fans enjoying theirs.

That doesn't reflect my normal feeling about how sports fans enjoy it, hell, I take my son to the odd hockey game here and there as well and encourage him to enjoy sports too so that he'd be exposed to more sources of hobbies than those I personally enjoy. If he ends up being a sports fan and does all the above I'd be as happy as if he finds enjoyment in, say, singing in a choir or playing with Lego as an adult. The moment he acts snobbish about being a sports fan is superior to cosplaying weirdos I'd say the same rant to him as I would to anyone.

Hope that makes it clear the difference between a rant on a general society discrimination to "nerdy" hobbies like cosplaying sci fi characters' costumes and face paint vs "proper" hobbies like sports fan dressing up in player jerseys and face painting. That hypocrisy is what I'm ranting about, not sports fan enjoying what they do.

Maybe signs you need more ;-)

What is your point? Of course a delay to one will end up pushing back the rest, unless they have different people devoted to different figures.

Hey, delay away. It’s unlikely but I like to think delays will encourage them to tweak and refine the figures at the far end of the release schedule.

In short, that's one of the various reasons why not to preorder anything

Dude, we're in the middle of a global pandemic. Everything has been slowed down. It's not like they have all the figures ready to ship and are holding them because of some conspiracy to keep your pre-order money. Remember that the original release date for Giant Axe was supposed to be in late April, around 2 months after Split. I imagine we'll see the next few figures trend closer to that release schedule once the all the gears are turning again.
