I’ve never seen the Red Hulk. Otherwise, I’ve seen most or all of the Target exclusives at least once. I don’t buy them all necessarily, but I do like to at least find them.

That's not elitist, that's the entire point of a store chain offering exclusives in the first place.

 

I don\'t think anyone in the US should worry.  Target had plenty of the SEIGE, if you missed out you were snoozing.  Once they hit shelves it should calm down after a month or so and you can get one or.....

...get into the habit of checking the site every day and their email system DOES email you.  Does not mean others who also got the email can\'t beat you to the offer and it sells out again, but the last round was like that for a couple of weeks then the demand platued and dropped until Target discounted them and sold out.  I was able to buy redwing in about 3 email reminder attempts, and I passed on him for weeks on end until he was all sold out (I checked every so often each week to see what others were doing in this market). 

Do not worry there is a great chance to get an item before the scalpers clean up the rest.  There will be tons for sale and then I ask myself, is the price of the item the same as the store, plus gas money and wear and tear on car--forget about it if you eat out.  That is about the only way I can justify ebay sellers sometimes, for some hard to get items.

The real tough find for me is going to be that Walgreens release... good greif.  I had to practice a level of \"spidy sense\"/clarvoiance  to aquire the Ratchet toy. While 70 miles from home I saw and then pulled into a Walgreens to look and they must have just put them out that week. HI Walgreens person, just here to buy this toy, not sick or anything and definitily not a creeper..winkwinkwink.

 

I hope this isn’t has hard to get at the carbonized Mandalorian and bebop & rocksteady. Never seen either of these. I order the CM as soon as it went up and target canceled my order months later.

 

Well, they could opt just to do it for internet marketshare.

They're not selling me on incidentals in the store either way and the fact that they want to is part of why I won't buy incidentals. I overheard a manager going through that spiel about upselling.

I have an MBA. I hate sales. I hate that sales exists as a profession. Just make information on products public and have net neutrality and regulate search algorithms and outlaw SEO and let God or Primus or the market sort out winners and losers.

You don't need sales or SEO to exist if you have strong product design marketing, advertising, and publicity.

Throw up a ban on SEO, and sales and throw anybody who breaches can go to a gulag for all I care. Marketing, advertising, and publicity alone can carry the whole economy if you got rid of everything else.

It's a placeholder and hasn't gone live yet.

 

On the one hand, it makes me anxious that I'll miss out on these.
On the other hand, at least I have something to look for on my phone that is not related to the end of the world.

Wow so much drama over internet pre-orders. If youre one of the lucky ones who gets a pre-order in, hey lucky you ! If you dont and you want em, then strap on your mask and do some hunting. Or pay scalper prices. Its that simple.

 

Well marketing, advertising, and publicity is all in the same boat as "sales", hence the idea of the Transformers exclusive endcap to lore in Transformers and toy fans. All because everyone buys "incidentals", whether they realize it or not. That's just retail and it's the entire backbone of the department store. You buy one thing, you likely will buy something else. Someone buys pants, they also might need a belt. Buy cereal, you're gonna need milk. Buy a drill, gotta get some drill bits. The key to it all however is to get you into the store in the first place, but they know once you're inside they've got ya'.

Their attempts to get you to buy more aside, sooner or later during any toy hunt they know we're going to buy something else because sooner or later you're going to need stuff. Even if you run in to just check toys, after going through their strategic maze of products to get to the toy aisle you'll remember you need pet food or batteries or something, and you know you're going to end up buying it and likely while you're there in that store (because 9 times out of 10 you're not going to be willing to drive to another store to get them just to spite some mid-manager's sales goal).

Anyway the only other option is to just shop online, but the reality is you're just in their virtual store with a million other shoppers, and the risks of things selling out will always be greater because everyone else who wants the seeker 2-pack went shopping on the same day as you. And it doesn't matter if TFW told you about the link or not, that information will get out because, ya' know, that marketing and publicity carrying the economy thing. Plus to make it even better (worse?), whether it's Walmart.com, Target.com, Amazon, or whatever, they still will try to "upsell" you after you add that item to cart with their "Here's stuff people who bought this also purchased" selection, so there's no escaping that even there, either.

 

Just keep checking the links to see when it goes active that's how I got the Target exclusive Red Wing it went active late at night when I was checking ordered it and didn't have deal with scalper prices unfortunately it was delayed about a week or two but I rather pay retail then have to pay double or triple the cost and this was most recent a few weeks ago.

 

Got a set that has already been shipped from Damingtoys in Taiwan for 105$ to me its worth it but when these target ones go up for sell I'm thinking about getting a second set. They are supposed to go up on July 3rd.... its odd there is a page on Target a whole month early.
