They did 1:1 hulkie back in their early days

 

The only thing they did 1:1 and that nobody with a legends + collection has for display.
They will not make this figure a 1:1, if they make a KO of the MST.
Even if this will be a new design, it will not fit legends scale like NA or MST.

 

Sharkticons are 1:1 as well.

 

Only in terms of size (if that's what you mean by 1:1, I usually take 1:1 to mean exact copies), they were altered to have wrist swivels and guns though

Yes but those were already big by Hasbro and fits perfect with Legends + line  
But look at all what MFT has made and no way they wil make Soundwave a 1:1 ko that will not fit in with the rest of what they have made

MFT feels that the MST Soundwave is the correct size to go with their OSKO MST Blaster, so maybe.

This is in MFT'S private weibo chat. They're talking about MST (Rubik's Cube) Soundwave and MFT'S Blaster (Recorder).

But... they upsized Blaster from MS's. Why wouldn't they upsize Soundwave similarly?

I don't know about you guys but I usually think of Soundwave and Blaster as roughly the same height.

 

They should be close in size indeed, a straight 1:1 would be strange now
Maybe we should see them together before we judge but I think, looking at MS Prime next Sounwave, compared to Jinbao, next to MFT Blaster.
The MST Soundwave is too short for the MFT line

 

kind of odd for MFT to 1:1 Soundwave, IF they are knocking off the MST version.

unless they are using mass displacement as an excuse or the respective alt-modes of Soundwave and Blaster - a Walkman and boomb box - as point of reference for the sizing.

 

if they upscale MS soundwave to the same height as their OS blaster, then they got my money for both figures. if not… hard pass on both.  

 

I think it'll be a 1:1 based on the fact that it is already really close in size. MS Soundwave is 4.25" and I just measured my MFT Blaster which is 4.75".. I would hope they OS it that 1/2" to make it perfect but I could see them going 1:1 with better tape distribution.

 

Half an inch at this scale is a huge difference IMHO. If they do that, I'll just stick with my Hot Soldiers Soundwave. He has been my benchmark figure from Day 1 of Legends+ collecting and will only be replaced if I they make one at the same height (or negligible difference).

Just put MST Prime next to MFT Blasted and see how that will work out for you.
Too small IMO, so why would Soundwave at that scale be close to MFT Blaster ?
