So we have a controller that looks like a sports bra and a less-than-stellar lineup of launch games.

Sony, you're not giving me a good reason to spend half a grand on your new console so far.

 

My biggest thing is them telling third parties "PS4 games MUST SUPPORT PS5!" I'm like.. Uh.. that doesn't sound good for actual BC.

 

From the recent showcase trailer, it looks like the controller is fully black now.

 

I am all in to get a ps5 but i just hope it's NOT $500 but do have that saved. I am hoping to pick up a few of the release games for ps5 on launch day.

 

Eh...controller still looks kinda bad, even in black.

It really annoys me that Sony won't make an official PlayStation controller that has offset analog sticks. Hell, I had to resort to using an adapter for my PS4 that lets me use a wired Xbox 360 controller.   Not that I have anything against the DualShock controllers, but they never feel quite right in my hands when it comes to 3D games. But that's just me.

 

PS4 is the first console in 35 years of gaming where i've used a third party controller as default because of this and i'd basically stopped using my system for gaming entirely until something with modern layout came out, my hands are too worn at this point to deal with their mid-90s ergonomics.

 

Meanwhile, I can't stand that nearly everyone other than Sony insists on using the offset. Maybe it's because I've always been a Playstation user but any time I try something with the Xbox layout, it throws me off too much. Never feels right. I even ended up going third party for a properly laid out controller for my Switch. 8BitDo out there doing good work

 

All the controllers should have been like the NGC. ;P

Considering it's the same day as the memorial.. yeah, I would guess yes.. that's why.

 

100% the right decision to postpone.

 

Smart move on Sony's part, given what's been going on lately.

 

I was really looking forward to Thursday but nope it ain't happening now. Well maybe Sony will blow are minds soon enough but when is anybody's guess. I am seeing the commercial for the event all evening long on cartoon network and cartoon network west channel. Well why they are still showing it since it's cancelled is anyone's guess.

 

Sony paid for the space. It's not that easy to produce a new commercial on moment's notice.
