I really enjoyed this movie, however I introduced it to my kids a couple of days ago and now it's been on loop ever since lol

    Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion's Revenge:
Another retelling of the first first Mortal Kombat game but with Scorpion as the main character.

In some points, it fixes some of the issues of the original Mortal Kombat movie with the violence and action scenes and making Scorpion and Sub-Zero actual characters instead of being mind slaved by Shang Tsung. But since Scorpion was the main character here, it relegated the rest of the characters to be placed on the sidelines with little to no development. Basically the character dynamic of the live action movie was far better than what we got here.

The worst offender here was Sub-Zero. Considering his relationship with Scorpion and being a crucial part in his story, he barely had anything to offer. Scorpion had more interaction with other Lin Kuei than the one he was targeting.

Maybe they'll fix some of this in an upcoming sequel but I'm not going to get my hopes up until they announce it.

I liked it. Dark Knight's Two-Face stars as Frankenst-Adam as he is caught in a war between Gargoyles and Demons.

interesting. I remember that movie was critically panned and a box office bomb. I remember a commercial on television in a bar came on, and a friend said it looked, "Awful." So I guess you found it nowhere near as bad as it was made out to be.

    The Invisible Man (2020):
This was better than what I expected. This movie was very good they should've started the "Dark Universe" with it instead of Dracula and the Mummy. And looks like they learned their lesson from the 2 times by making it its own thing instead of forcing it to be a set up piece to establish upcoming movies.

The horror and paranoia were spot on and I liked how they handled this "Invisible Man" by making it so mysterious even for us the audience.

I frickin love this movie. It’s a great globe trotting adventure full of puzzles to solve & lots of action. And something I noticed this time out- every shot is a money shot. So many shots are just like “this is for the trailer, this would make a great poster, oh hey, that could be a postcard, etc etc.” So many great shots. It’s quotable, it’s funny, it’s a little heartfelt, it’s got the hammiest villain but I love that, the whole supporting cast is great. It’s just a fun little movie.

    The Last Airbender - 0/10

Just finished the Avatar: The Last Airbender on Netflix and oh gosh it was amazing! This series was my childhood and I've watched through it many, many times! Such a great adventure to this day!

Now this piece of shit movie "The Last Airbender", is a pathetic excuse for a movie and a mockery of the great Avatar series. A bunch of buddies of mine and myself needed something to laugh at and talk shit about so instead of each other, we tore this awful movie apart. Such a disgrace! But like Sokka once said, "The effects were decent."

Watched Knives Out last night and quite enjoyed it!
If you get past Daniel Craig's accent early-doors it turns into an enjoyable, if not entirely original, whodunnit!

Last weekend I watched the 1982 feature "Forbidden Zone".

The plot was nonsensical, the sets were largely hand-drawn cardboard cutouts, the acting was horrendous, and the imagery and music were so bizarre, I've had vivid nightmares since watching it. I may have found my new favourite movie. 10/10.

    Wonder:
A story about a deformed kid trying to get used to school life between making friends and harsh bullying. It's not that harsh in tone as you'd might expect from it, also I thought the kid didn't look too ugly to be called an ugly.

    Also Star Wars character cameos.

Clannad what a abomination 6/10. The animation was terrible and it was just boring. Tomoya has a horrible voice. Toei really did it no justice. The Kyoani version was a gem.

Jaws (1975) on UltraHD 4K BD: Five stars.
Hard to believe this masterpiece is 45 years old! a perfect mix of adventure, thriller, horror and suspense. One of the greatest horror movies, adventure movies and more.

A timeless classic that has lasted for generations and still manages to make people afraid of the water. It's also my fave Spielberg movie since i saw this on TV back in 85 and one of my first horror movies i ever saw. Spielberg took risks with this movie and it paid off as it was a gamble and a risk of a movie which i'm glad he did the movie.

The cast and performances are terrific from Roy Scheider to Richard Dreyfuss and more, the score by John Williams is incredible as it's a classic score that gives you dread and sometimes a feel of adventure. Amazing shots from the camerawork this movie uses on techniques.

Surprisingly it's PG rated as this was before PG-13 as this movie is violent and bloody as hell and not for the faint of heart. It's got one of the best openings of all time and excellent pacing that it doesn't feel like 2 hours due to engaging characters you give a damn about and quality entertainment. It's the perfect summer blockbuster and it definitely made history 45 years ago and was the highest grossing movie of it's time before Rocky and Star Wars came along.

A quality blend of horror, adventure, thrils and everything that has yet to be topped. And it looks/sounds amazing on both blu-ray and UltraHD 4K as the visuals pop out spectacularly.

Revenge of The Fallen: Finally finished after an Internet shutdown yesterday. Loved... a reasonable portion of it. It's no masterpiece cinema, but a fun flick.

    Phantasm 5: Ravager
    Uh..... 7/10?

This is a weird one. This movie was made on a shoestring budget & it definitely shows in a lot of places. I liked the concept that the entire series was (possibly) Reggie suffering from early dementia. He bounces back between one reality in a hospital & another in a hellish world ravaged by The Tall Man.

The ending gives some form of closure but not much. As is par for the course with this series, the ending leaves you wondering if what you saw was real or not. And that’s fine the first 4 times. But considering that it took them 37 years to tell their story, and Angus Scrimm (The Tall Man) died shortly after making this movie, it would’ve been nice to get some real closure instead of leaving it so open ended the way they did.

Chunk was annoying as hell. That idiot survives but Dawn gets killed twice?! Come on now.

But... this movie has heart. Just the fact that they were able to pull this thing together and get it made (nearly too late) is an accomplishment.

It's the movie that pretty much broke the mold on that whole thing. Whenever someone talks about the sequel being as good or better than the first, people always answer with "Godfather Part 2, man. It's like THE sequel of all sequels." It was proof that a movie can surpass the original, but it's rare. When it does, though, magic...
