    Here are a few pics:

    1st Launch.jpg 2nd Launch.jpg

I launched Astrotrain twice. The launches didn't fare so well. Both times Astrotrain got to about 15 to 20 feet in the air and then started to do multiple flips and fell to the ground. I didn't design the rocket very well. I'm no engineer, but I think the center of gravity was way off. The good news is that the rocket and Astrotrain are fine and I will be able to launch again (after a redesign and changes are made). I had a blast though!

    Edit: Here are two videos:

I'm running for my life in this one:

Wow, this sounds like something the ACTUAL Snoop Dogg would do... If he liked Transformers.

Lol. This is something 8 year old me approves of. Put another Astrotrain on the opposite side and you might have better luck. Or, mount him dead center on the top of the rocket. It isn’t real clear from the pic how many fins you have on that rocket. Use 3 or 4 fins mounted at regular intervals around the circumference of the bottom of the rocket. The fins help to keep the rocket flying straight. But you need at least 3 so you can achieve stability in all directions.

Just feeling up my Astrotrain, he's got a bit of weight to him relatively speaking. If you can't mount him along the central axis (which you can't because that's where the rocket gubbins are), you need to add an equivalent counter weight to the side of the rocket opposite Astrotrain to stop him flipping after launch. Doesn't matter what exactly, as long as it's the exact same weight as Astrotrain (or as close as you can get, the closer the better). And it needs to be positioned at the same location along the rocket as Astrotrain, if it's too high or low, it will also cause it flip. Also looking at the flag, there seems to be a breeze. That's something that also needs to be factored in for a straight flight as the stronger breezes higher up could also affect how it spins (fins may help but I'm a product engineer, not an aerodynamic one so someone with greater knowledge can help with that).

Saying that, this is awesome and yes, please video and share it for the next flight!

This is friggin adorable - my dad used to take me out firing model rockets all the time as a kid, and I was always sad I never saw one shaped like the Ark or anything. Let us know if you try another flight!

Awesome! I usedto love model rocketry as a kid, and have thought about getting back into it from time to time.
