To everyone who complains about DC continuity and the shared universe of characters - blame this book.

    worlds-fair-comics-1940.jpg

Until this book happened nobody ever conceived of the idea that Superman could coexist with Batman and Robin, they were totally unrelated characters.

New York World's Fair Comics 1940 Issue planted the seed from which fan frustration has flourished.

    You're welcome.

The "shocking foe" is the real Superman (who was also using super-speed to assume the identities of all the villains)...the Superman on the cover's just some poor Kandorian shlub who cracked.

I keep forgetting there was a time when Terra Man was considered one of Superman's heavy hitters (he even got a mention in "Whatever Happened to The Man of Tomorrow" as being killed in a feud with The Parasite).

Back when the girl sidekick who had been helping the a-team was allowed to join the team for real. Then the tv show makers said "ewww girls yuck!" and threw her out of the team!

I had no idea we had a classic comic thread! My first contribution is one of my all time favorite Silver Age covers where Magneto is showing Thor whats really going on!
