I never really changed my argument. A big retailer indirectly forcing other retailers to raise their price by putting pressure on the manufacturer still comes down to SHOWZ wouldnt have had to raise their price at all if it wasnt for TFsource. If you go watch the video by bobby skull face its 100% TFsource bullying smaller sellers. The guy even called up TFsource and asked them if it was their complaint that was giving him issues, and was lied to his face about them being the source. When he said he had email proof of it...poof. Even in the video, the guy says he got an aggreement from FT saying he was okay to sell at XYZ mark and they said they didnt care as long as they got their normal cut upfront. It wasnt until TFsource stepped in that magically the dude couldnt get them to fulfill is preorders unless he agreed to up the price. TFsource even tried reporting smaller sellers to customs to try and get their imports shut down until they price matched... so i would classify that as directly bullying...

Ergo, TFsource bullied other sellers into raising their price, albeit indirectly (mostly, but also some directly). I'm not sure why you are arguing over semantics here, at the end of the day the result is the same...we the consumer have to pay more for something, because a greedy pos company no one should use put pressure on manufacturers and as a result multiple sellers who had an item priced at 250 (suggested price was 200ish) now have to try and sell it for 400. None of this affects the manufacturer as they still probably sold it to each retailer at about 150 a pop.

Its not a 400$ toy, and i pity anyone who buys from TFsource at that price. At 400$ you are paying for the warehouse space used to store that toy until they can sell it. At 400$ i would want a 3rd party toy that's bigger than toy worlds constructor.

 

I didn't get the request, but my order profile said something to the equivalent of "You have 14 days to make full payment or the order will be cancelled" in red bold print. You may want to go ahead and make the payment.

I don't have any first hand experience with Zeta stuff. Hopefully the build quality on this guy is solid. That's all I ever really ask, that a figure holds up enough to do what it's supposed to do (ie transform, hold a reasonable pose)

 

They have a fairly solid rep. I’m not worried. My main concern is I’ve grown used to looking at it without a head, and I’m starting to prefer the headless look. Lol

I'm an early bird too, Sept 12. I didn't get an invoice yet either. I assume it's because I'm in Canada and he's not able to ship there yet because of CanPost backlog. I just went and paid it off anyways.

 

I hope Zeta/01Studio considers a separate kit with a damaged head, and a "piece of cybertron" stand... so it looks like Unicron is approaching Cybertron to land on it (in robot mode) or eat it in Planet mode. This figure has many additional products opportunities.

It's not unheard of... it could be similar to the toy heads for the FT Dibots or cassettes for KFC Transistor.

 

Yeah I think this is the case. Just wondering if you're comfortable with the "hold until the pandemic ends" note in the order? What does that mean? I mean, I know what that means but... the time frame could be any time or far into the future.

 

It’s either that or ship by boat. Whichever one you think is going to arrive faster. I’m still waiting on orders from Japan that left beginning of April. They will probably arrive before larger shipments are accepted by airmail services again.

 

That's why I didn't mind ordering from eyou-collection. They have temporarily suspended toy shipments due to Covid's affect on logistics. I don't mind if it arrives in July or October. I know companies that are still waiting on orders of millions of $$$ worth of product that are still stuck in China. My 3p Unicron is the least of the world's worries.
