I'm making this thread to dedicate those who value the japanese image of Transformers which I'll call Convoy Spirit. What I mean by japanese image is the Japanese naming system such as Convoy, Seibertron, Destrons. Also if you've seen series such as Masterforce, Zone, or Beast Wars Neo you may have an understanding of the image. Especially if you're either a Yuusha(Brave) or Super Sentai fan. I mean seeing these series especially the japanese dubs of Beast Wars and Prime puts the perspective in a different level.

Do you mean like the meanings behind names like "Jinrai"? It's kind of funny because his name means Thunderclap. What other Prime-styled character also shares that name, more or less? This guy:

Maybe Thunderclash's secret origin is that he's actually Jinrai's Transtector after becoming Victory Leo?

That makes a surprising amount of sense ...

That was merely a dub. The proper version gives a different perspective from the dub.

As a matter of fact, virtually all English dubs vs. subs have differences. Such cases are Dragonball Z and Digimon. For a time I had no idea that Goku had an entirely different reason to spare Vegeta at the end of the Sayajin saga compared to the dub. In the original version Goku's reasons were actually selfish whereas in the dub he did it out of goodness.
