TPU is actually fairly easy to print with. It can be hard to get PLA or ABS level of clean layers, but it's both possible and not strictly necessary if you're just making joints. Before I used TPU I would make the peg part of a joint slightly smaller, but using TPU I just make them fit 1 to 1 and the flex is what gives it strength. I have messed with and transformed prime several times now and the joints have lost no noticeable strength. I've had so much success with it I'm currently in the process of adapting that marauder Megatron so I can use TPU in the joints before I print him out. I'm also modding it so the pin holes are the side I wanted. It's tedious work, but will be worth it I feel.

I'm currently trying to figure out the distribution. I want to sell some physical copies, but I may end up just selling the files if I cant work that out. Watch this space basically

Originally I was hoping to sell physical copies. I may still, but after that Megatron I think I'll have to make the files available at some point. I need to clean them up is the problem, there's about 3-4 hours of sorting out and tolerance tweaking needed, and right now I have very limited free time so I'm focusing on competing my blackout, clobber and drawing up plans for a big project. I'll aim to have the files available by mid March

i've been looking at this thread time to time and my god this thing is amazing.

 

Cheers man, I've been promising to put the files up for sale for months now, but concluding my uni degree and my general lack of focus means I just haven't gotten around to it. But I submit my final thesis on Monday then I'm free, so hopefully that time will come soon
