Going by how Hasbro has treated paint schemes so far in the MPM line, I'll believe it when I see it

I said the same for Starscream pretty much and the standardized refrain was to "buy a model kit". It's a Masterpiece branded figure so automatically fans will expect more. Given that Ratchet turns into a boxy wheeled vehicle, I expected the robo kibble to be disguised better.

With this and Starscream it kind of seems like the MPM line has started to shift back to the way MPM1-2 were designed; as mainline toys with Masterpiece branding. The increased amount of details is obvious but these strike me more as toyetic than what I've come to expect from MP's.

I'd prefer if this was branded as "Ultimate" Ratchet instead of MPM.

He used them in ROTF and DOTM.
I don't want them to do BB Optimus too soon. If they're going to do him, I hope they wait till the next movie if we see more of him. They must learn to NOT use concept art because that's where MPM Beetle Bumblebee went wrong. They should stick to bayverse characters in the MPM line and then once the important ones are done, they can move onto the new movie cast.

I was thinking the same thing. Really looks like a well done small leader-class or large voyager ratchet than a masterpiece. Honestly surprises me how much money people are willing to let go for some mediocre products, also in reference to the masterpiece line itself. Is it to keep the lines alive or somethin else

Not exactly leaving, just focusing on their other projects, their Super Deformed line.

I think the price is actually decent compared to non-movie MP's, I just think the MPM branding has been misleading.

On first sight I would’ve thought it was a render if not for the non-deformed fencing on the chest, so I’m sold.

The colors for the sample shown on Target's preorder page look a lot better, hopefully that's what we actually get.

Yeah, when you look at it, this costs about twice what a Leader class costs. (I think, I can’t remember how much they are in America, but they’re $70 here and Ratchet will likely be about $150) Taking that into consideration, does this look twice as good as a retail Leader class? IMO it looks five times as good, and when you consider how much even smaller MPs go for these days, $120 US seems more reasonable. (And this is ignoring the ability to get in on sale, which they always end up) For the size, complexity, and accessories, that is.

It’s funny how perspective works, because I can guarantee you if these weren’t labelled MPs, people would still be calling them such because of the complexity and accuracy they go for. People have called particularly impressive mainline releases MPs, or near-MPs.

In your super advance country probably, but out here in the boonies (and according to Hasbro Pulse where I pre-ordered it), it has an October release date.

Sucks that target makes you pay the full price upfront for the preorders. I don’t have a problem with paying it I just hate waiting the 4 months for it lol. Rather pay it when it releases.

No but this fixes his scale!!! Prime and Ironhide are too small next to Jazz and Bee. Only option is to over since Prime and Ironhide or shrink Jazz and Bee.

    That’s true he looks GREAT!!!

It doesn’t make sense to make him that soon. Go get the toy world version as I doubt we will see one until at least after the next TF movie
