The magnificence really is a magnificent addition to the WFC line. This is what so many wanted a Sky Lynx to be . Its a modern updated version of that classic G1 not transformer then transformer toy . It nails it all across the board here.We also get an extra base mode that is nod to the micromaster rocket base. Transport mode is fine for what it is. Space shuttle is great it even has landing gear! Now both bird mode and lynx mode are fine on there own. I don't get why some say they like the lynx mode but the bird mode is goofy. Of course it is just like the G1 version was. The neck is great and sturdy . You will not have to worry about the head drooping down like the G1 one did unless you wanted that. The tail is also great and smart how they did it. The Lynx mode here is just a brick with extending head & shoulders but honestly not that bad two tails and blue shoes ! Combined into Skylynx is awesome and is a great size. The wings loose or pegged in is your choice. I Love that the 2 ramp door can have micromaster deploy from his butt or stomach. Nice! Base mode is awesome and fits perfectly in the line. Its one of my favourite modes. The included blast fxs are nice. Overall this is an amazing toy and not many faults I can think of on the second of the commander class we got. I hope they continue this size class we get a Con next.

    P.S
I'll always wonder the fate (budget) of Astroscope who was to be included . That will be forever drifting lost .

They cut it for budget reasons they stated. It was listed in the product description when they first put it out on hasbro pulse .

Sky Lynx has always seemed a very goofy character design to me, but I’ll probably pick this up based off the shuttle and base modes alone.

No but many were confused why it was never shown. It was to be a satellite.

THIS is the Sky Lynx I wanted. So, so glad I never settled for the bottom barrel trash that was CW Sky Lynx. I have MMC's Magna Inventa but I'll absolutely support Hasbro's G1 takes!

Wow, just frikkin' WOW. This is a great set.

'Magnificence' indeed. Very much liking the cool grey used as highlights on the shuttle body, really helps the figure pop.

Base is pretty delightful actually. Considering it's viewed as a tacked on mode for some, there's plenty of points of interaction for other figures and bases. This is something I look forward to exploring.

Transformations are all very straightforward too, so flipping between modes is a pleasure. You'll want to as well, as all have something decent to offer.

    20200530_114406.jpg

In the main we have tight and ratchety joints all over the show here (couple of loose hinge joints in the wings, nothing of concern.. holds most poses and nothing a drop of floor polish won't resolve). Add in some crisp & beautiful sculpt work, massive play value and great colour breakup and I'm in love!

This dino-bird mode is expectedly ridiculous looking but charming with it. Tends to wanna fall forward due to the weight of the neck, not an issue with the joints, just a learning curve in how to distribute the weight of the figure initially.

Lynx is a surprisingly limber chap, head articulation somewhat hindered by its transformation design but still enough to work with.

Love the articulation on the front shoulders here with that additional outward joint allowing for a more natural range of motion. Leg articulation overall is a real plus, with multiple ratcheted parts.

    Personality for days!

Some play between the teeth of the forward and back ratchets on the legs. It's not proven to hamper stability thus far, and nothing we haven't seen before in a Transformers toy.

Tongue's a bit loose for the reused Omega blast effects (in both mouths too), bird neck is ratcheted nice and tight leading to a ball jointed head enabling for some expressive posing.

Great size when combined. The Commander Class price point continues to deliver.

Wasn't expecting him to be such a beast compared to his Autobuddies, the big lad has some significant presence.

Ludicrously well spoken and self assuredly erudite spacebird cat mutant hybrid he may be, but ol' Commander Modesty is a fucking scorcher of an entry into the Earthrise line.

    Highly recommended.

Skylynx is definitely awesome. I was blown away at how good they did. A little future helped with the wings and Lynx head. Otherwise there are good ratchets everywhere. 53A478A2-F3A1-44B8-BD65-C5594861DE72.jpeg 2C9F85C5-FFE1-4862-9BDD-8C35BF3195C7.jpeg F72C2C19-CB70-46FD-BA4E-5FC2136A4F18.jpeg
