Since you mention it, do you think we'll see KO's of these figures in the near future? The aftermarket price of the Seacons is so high that I wonder if a 3P company will produce facsimiles to satiate demand. What do you think?

I was about to link you on a Japanese site but even there, all sold out. Sorry.:(

Did beerbagland ever KO Titans Return class figures? The combiners that is.

Of course not, since Titans Return had no combiners.

I don't think so. KOs have not done any exclusives from Combiner molds and some recent generations figs (to my knowledge). With the exception of DLX groove instead of Rook, all the KOs spotted have been focused on Hasbro's side of things. The Arielbots have Alpha Bravo and not Slingshot, the combaticons have jet-off and there are somehow no stunticons. They even focus on Hasbro's coloring for a matter of fact. Then there is the obvious ones they could've done already like Predacus (going in the $4000 range on ebay) Grand Galvatron, Megatronia and Computron that have yet to get KO'd. So don't hold you breath in hoping these will.

Predacus is going in the $1000 range on eBay, below that.

Took me an all nighter to transform to King Poseidon........pics? Maybe later but let me also share my opinions for this set.

Fyi, I am very biased for the G1 or anything G1 if done right. Also, I'm one of the late comers as I did not preorder this hence I might have gotten slightly higher costs in acquisition so I am omitting the cost issues in purchasing this.

    The bad:

    0. Who the Ef thought of printing the instruction with grey backgrounds? I could barely read the image steps. Is printing on white expensive:banghead:

    1. Turtler or the base mold of him is starting to show its age. His arms that would eventually become KPs thighs are kind of loose in my copy. Mine is pre owned out of the twisty ties but I doubt the original owner wore out the joints in just like 3 months? So loose ratchet joints. Silverbolt and Hungurr weren't that loose. Posing KP dynamically is a challenge with those loose ratchets.

The pegs that attach to his chest piece/halfshell keeps popping off.

    2. Tentakill. Holy crud!. The worst in my opinion when you use him as the left boot/foot. The peg that is supposed to connect to his combined legs once in boot mode, well it barely locks in. Not even the friction is enough to keep in in place. Fyi, my Tentakill came sealed with the ties intact. So either less plastics were used on the part or a design flaw. The peg hole that attaches to KP's feet, it's like wt ef?! It could barely clamp on the pegs!

    3. Gulf. The use of paint in his forearms. If it was molded in pink instead of blue with the blue being the painted part then we could have avoided paint flake offs. But again, use of gang molded parts is a more pragmatic business choice these days. The fist/heel part on mine has a molding flash blemish (like the side thumb slightly melted off).

    4. Lobclaw. Arm mode or foot mode not so much incident as his lobster legs. The part that attaches to his thorax is a slight indention. Just that. Should have been a peg hole. And those legs should have added and extra separate riveted joint to fold them more appropriately as the get in the way with them just spread out when in arm mode.

    5. Kraken. The peg on his right wing won't lock in properly when folded. Aside from that, his a pretty much great modern version of him.

    6. Overbite. In my copy, he does make a great gun. Some minute alignment issues.

The materials feel kind of wonky soft.

    The Good.

    KP and the bots
A great modern update to the squat ugly original King Poseidon. He looks more proportional.
Newly designed multi purpose fists/heels. I like how you slide the thumbs side to side.
Lots of molded details. Painting superb! (Saw some painting issues in other samples)
    Great Targetmaster modes carried over.
    Super weapon combine modes
Individual bot modes are also great
Turtler actually has a separate chest armor ( but my copy has some issues in keeping it mounted) unlike his other UW base brethren.

Should you get him? I've seen in ebay a complete set (Hb Pulse version) going for $500. Unless you're so diehard for him, I don't recommend it for that price. Unless that includes shipping. I got the set (Takara version) because I was just lucky (mine costs $ 324.00 not including shipping) despite the beerbug shipping issues.

I hope the scalpers will moderate their capitalistic desires towards the other interested parties or you can just get the God Neptune set.

So I was woken up at, like, 4:00am this morning to a muted crash in the living room. It was like a disturbance in the Force, as if a million (or, in this case, just six) voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I felt something terrible had happened. Jumped out of bed and found the empty space on my 7 ft. high floating shelf above my desk where King Poseidon / Piranhacon stood just moments ago. Luckily, nothing was actually broken, but I had to search around under my desk for Tentakil and various fists, feet, and weapons pieces that popped off on impact with the floor. I spent the next four (!!) hours putting the combiner back together and trying to balance him back on the shelf so he doesn't take a massive nosedive again.

I'm really disappointed in how jacked up this figure is turning out to be. It's such a beast to pose properly, nothing seems to want to hold together solidly. Hopefully some clear nail polish on the pegs and a bit of adhesive tape under his feet will be enough to hold him mostly together and avoid giving me another heart attack in the middle of the night.

Does he hold up worse than the other combiner wars and power of the primes figures?

Same thing happened to mine but didnt take 4 hours to put back together and no permanently broken parts. This was after using tape on bottom of the feet and future on the hips and knees of the arm bots. I was trying to pose him holding Nautilator as the gun though without a stand to keep him up. It held for awhile.

Mine is the same if not better than the other ones. Its just too much weight to balance and hold everything. I swapped out Nautilator for just the combined guns with the trident in the other hand and it is holding good for now.

Glad to hear nothing broke. I've found angleing the feet and swiveling the thighs just so help with the balance. But yeah... I feel like I have to pre-plan stances and poses before going about manipulating the combined form. Eh *shrugs* still glad I have it.

The only one I’d compare him to is PotP Abominus, with whom I’ve also had a helluva time trying to pose in anything other than your standard A-stance. All my other CW/UW/PotP combiners have all so been much easier to balance and dynamically pose on my shelves, and seem a lot sturdier by comparison.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m incredibly glad to have Piranhacon, I just dread the day I have to be close enough to breathe on him as I dust the shelf or add more figures near him. He’s sure to just crumple under the weight of such close CO2 exposure.

So, sadly, for the next few weeks, the Seacons will not grace my shelves as they had to be packed away for moving.

Robotwise, Tentakill is tops! Legwise as a combiner, he sucks! That locking mechanism depends on friction (none at all) and weight of gravity to anchor it in place(the one that locks on to the robot feet that is foled up.). The should have been at least an extra plastic strut togive the notch some resistance to hold it in place.

Compared to Abominus, KP is the least in stability. At least that's how my Abomnus felt. Same with you as I just dig this modernized version but the mold is just showing its age. Turtler's joints are just so loose (not to mention Tentakill..........:banghead:  )
