Yeah I did too but the shots looked familiar and I checked n sure enough its from paiks vid. Someone just comparing him to the toon art.

I need to change that face I have been deprived of a screw driver for too long.

 

I just fold them back in on Incursus in robot mode. That way he looks more normal/natural with his arms hanging straight down.

 

Just got the figure yesterday and after putting the figure through it's paces that's what I immediately did. It just looks better to me. Otherwise he reminds me of Randy from A Christmas Story: "I can't put my arms down!"

The figure has it's proportion issues, but the build quality on it is great and the transformation to all modes is actually fun. Really happy they added the ability to turn the trailer into a trailer.

 

I'm in. After my pleasure of owning three of these Assaultus figures, I am so in.

 

You might consider getting the Assaultus upgrade kit, gives him a toy accurate look.

 

I wonder if they'll re-release these molds in G1 toy colors.
I would love to buy Onslaught and Vortex, but I always preferred the toy colors on the Combaticons.

 

I wouldn't bet on it too hard. If I recall, someone said earlier in the thread that assaultus is only getting one repaint. And with battle gaia, baldigus, and others as possibilities, I don't think its likely. But one can hope. I certainly prefer toy onslought, but I ain't paying another 200 for that.

 

They should honestly put out a 2nd upgrade kit with a toy black onslaught head, the “shoes” colored to match swindle and brawl, new hands to match the other silver bits on the combiner, etc

 

No, if they redeco them as TFcon exclusives or something I suspect it will be in more exotic color schemes than just the toy versions. If they'll release the members of a combiner as exclusives at all.

 

I'd be down for that upgrade kit, especially if it included toy heads for all the Combaticons.

 

Has anyone opened up the shoulder on combined mode to tighten it up? The forward and back movement of the combined mode arm doesn't have enough strength to hold Vortex forward.

 

I’m pretty sure they’re done with any more upgrade kits. I think it was just condensed into the upgrades for the combiner mode into toy style. I think they just wouldn’t want to make another upgrade kit for people to buy and all they wanted to make was put into that one set.

 

Well, I'm all in now as well. Took the plunge and picked up Incursus and the upgrade kit from TCP last week, and after messing with him for a few days now am scrambling to sell some stuff on eBay so I can go ahead and pick up Fraudo and Impetus before Volatus comes out in June (which I've already suggested to my fiancée would make an excellent birthday present, so here's hoping they still make the release date).

I'm blown away by the build quality of this guy, and haven't had this much transforming a piece back and forth since I first picked up DX9 Carry (who is still a joy to play around with). Very clever engineering. The squat legs are a non-issue in person as several others have already noted, and the pelvis area can be adjusted...dynamically in order to break up the blocky shape of the long torso.

Incursus is large and in charge and imposing as heck. Cannot wait for the rest of the crew's arrival--as well as more/updated information about Maximus Pro!

Glad you like him. He definitely imbues a feeling of “wow, he sure is a sexy big blue military robot who can command”. At least that’s what my first thought is when I see poses like yours.
